I have a great idea! I am going to call it the "Get it DONE Team"

How many projects do you have around your house that you say "Oh I can't wait until I can just get this DONE!" But by and by life goes on and the project that you desperatly want to get done just keeps staring you in the face?

Whether it be cleaning up the house, building a fence, planting a garden, or making a quilt- wouldn't you just love to get it DONE?

So here is my idea- let me know what you think-

What if we all band together as farmgirls in our area and go around on a rotation to each person's house and help them get some projects done.

If we get enough man power going we could just all pitch in and get something wonderful done!

Maybe it is something that we could do as chapter projects or even just as farmgirl friends.

What do you think?

Well, I figured we all have those jobs that just need a little extra help or motivation to get done! :) I am glad you ladies like the idea!

How about this:

Carol Sue- We will help you move stuff around and then help you move the wood pile!! I am sure that if we get all the "girls" together we can get it done!

And it would be lovely to have you ladies down here to help plant a living fence and to maybe get my garden "once and for all" weeded and maybe bedded down for the fall with newspaper and mulch?

And how about this- feel free to invite others to help and who ever is getting help cooks lunch or whatever for everyone. It wouldn't have to be an expensive meal or anything fancy- just good food to fill everyone up from work.

And to the farmgirls who don't have a farmgirl near them- maybe now is the time to spread the word and get a group together? Do you have a friend or neighbor that might have a hidden farmgirl in them? Maybe off to help THEM with a project first to start the good will flowing!

I think I am the only one around here, but fun idea!

My MIL started a group with the women from our church where we all get together and spend the morning working on someone's garden once a week. Last fall it was working to establish everyone's garden and it was a huge success! There were 10 women with gardens when we were all done when I am sure they would have gone yet one more year without otherwise!

Nope, Jonni. All I see right now is lots of yellow...all the cornfields have turned yellow and dried up. My evergreen trees are starting to yellow.

Okay Spokane- Moscow are farmgirls! Who has projects they want done before Fall/Winter! Fence building? Painting? Giving the house a good fall cleaning? Lets put on a pot of tea and a pot of coffee and roll up our sleeves!

You're a hoot! I really do love to get projects done, and Alee is right, when you have someone who is helping, and being your cheerleader, you CAN achieve things!

I cannot wait until Spring, Miss Bee--we'll sit on the porch and talk and plant and talk and plant! Sad to think we Kentucky girls won't see green until then

Cool, Jonni! Sounds like a road trip! LOL! I'm not much as a carpenter, but I've been a painter(interior) since I was seven years old! :D I'm an ok gardener. And in the spring, I REALLY AM coming to your house with a box full of potted daylilies(I've even got a list of the ones I promised to send you before the GREAT DROUGHT of 07). And I can always help you scrub, etc. And I PROMISE not to bring you any starts of Rose of Sharon! ;)

I think it's great, but I'm the only farmgirl (that I know of on here) within a 2 hour radius from my house. Janice (Miss Bee Haven)??? If you come up here, I'll come down there!
