Hello Alee, I read in a recent post you are getting hitched soon. Tell us more about the wedding. Is it going to be large or small? Church or garden? What is your dress going to be like? And what is Nora wearing? Would love to know. And I hope you are going to post pics of the big day.

Wow Alee! I can't believe it is almost here!! The dress is great! I love anything red, so if I could do it over again, I'd have red on my dress!! And the roaring 20s! How fun!! Can't wait to see the pics. Our tea (or French lunch or whatever we decide to do in Spokane) will be Sept 29th, so we expect you to come and give us lots of details!

Hugs & blessings,

Brenda

Congratulations! You will be a beautiful bride. You have picked a special day. The 8th is the day my son was born 31 years age :) and that day has always been special to me. And your dress is just super.

Oh don't worry! We won't forget! I have 4 flower girl baskets to fill so those rose petals will be a vital part of the day! :) Tell Bethany not to worry and that I really really appreciate her help!

It is a red satin with red and crystal beading. The red at the top and bottom is just another piece, not an under layer but the train does kindof fold in and it bustles very beautifully. I will have my mom take more pictures once we have it completely fitted to me. Wow! I am leaving in 6 days! how great is that!

Alee, that dress is just stunning! I love the red part. Is it covered with red sequins? It kind of looks like an underlay at the bottom where it sticks out from the white. Is that what I'm seeing? It's absolutely beautiful. Your big day is coming up very quickly. Your plans sound just heavenly. I hope you have a wonderful time.

Shirley- That is good advice and has been my motto from day 1. Many things that I wanted to happen have changed and become something else and that is wonderful too. I keep telling my mom "I just want it to be fun, not stressful and just a party with a wedding thrown in" We have done the huge church weddings for some of my sisters and they were wonderful and very beautiful but a lot of stress. I am not sure- maybe it has been stressful on my mom, but so far it has been great for me! LOL :)

Sounds like it will be a fabulous affair Alee! The dress is simply divine. I love the flapper period. Nora is going to look too cute! I am so excited for you. The date of our wedding is a little funny too, as it is my birth month combined with my dhs birth number. Must of done something right as we have been married almost 11 years. Just a little advise too. I don't want to make you nervous, but something always goes diffrent to the plan. If it does, don't get caught up in it, let it pass and enjoy your very special day.

But we decided that it would not look good on my size 14 figure!

Alee, love the dress and the color insert is gorgeous. I can't wait to see pic's of the wedding.

My DH and I got married at the Rennisance Festival in Minneapolis (2nd time around for both of us). We wanted something different too. We wore period costumes and had our 5 kids stand up with us. Having a "theme" wedding I think is just so much more fun.

Will be an exciting time for you. Nice that all the "little ones" get to be involved.

Hi Shirley!

Yes, me and Doug are getting married on 09-08-07 (hehehe) I honestly didn't plan that! It just worked out that way!

We are going to have a Roaring 1920's theme for the reception. It is going to be in my parent's backyard and we are getting married by a waterfall :) Since Doug is non-religious we are just having a justice of the peace ceremony and it should actually be pretty short and to the point.

My sister is making all the jewelry for the attendents as well as my tiara/headband which will turn into a necklace once the ceremony is over.

This is a picture of the dress I will be wearing:
http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns_detail.jsp?stid=2973&prodgroup=10

All 4 of my nieces will be flower girls and my nephews will be ushers. The flower girls and Nora will all be wearing matching flapper dresses with fringe.

Doug will be wearing a pin stripe suit and hopefully a fedora if we can find one.

One of our family friends is making the cake and it should be really nice. We aren't going to serve alcohol, but will have cake and mints afterwards. And the wedding is at 7pm. :)

I will surely post pictures! :)
