Hi Ladies ~ My newspaper had an intersting column this morning about some folks who made up a "Life's too short" list and I thought it might be a good topic for discussion on our forum.

Answers were things like Life's too short to spend time with toxic people, to feel obliged to repond "ok"to every request for their time, even when they didn't want to do what was being requested, to not finish bad books, to not drink whole milk, etc. I really found it fun and exciting.

So let go - what is on your list of "life's too short"?

Life's too short to .....
not buying that something pretty just for you
not call in sick on that gorgeous day
not reflect on how often you can stare at your little baby girl now without her minding (that's a personal one I was thinking about today and realizing in a few years she might think I'm a big "weirdo" for just holding her and looking at her sweet face)
not buy that bouquet just because it is so pretty and would look great on your kitchen table
not take a day in bed - just books, blankets, and naps

Oooh, Mary Jane (CountryBorn) ... that's for real! Sadly, sometimes it is easier said than done, too. Welcome to the forum, by the way!

To me, life is too short to skip (an occasional) dessert!

Shirley -- I'm with you! Why have all those pretties and just leave them in the cabinet!

Life is too short. Make more yo yo's and eat more fruit!

Love everything else that's been said!

Life's to short

Yesterday is History.
Tomorrow is a Mystery, and
Today is a gift.

I love all these! Thanks so much, girls, keep 'em coming. I'm tempted to gather all with appropriate illustrations into a little book just for us. Whadaya think?

Jenny, you crack me up! I sure miss you! Thank heavens Mona doesn't have to wear a bra. THAT I'd pay to see.

love,
P

What a great thread...

Life's too short to hold a grudge

Life's too short to live in a small mind.

I LOVE these! And since my husband and I were talking about similar stuff over lunch today, I have to add

Life is too short, so remember to LIVE IN THE MOMENT and enjoy it to the fullest! We tend to have so many (mental) to do lists, to have lists, to accomplish lists, that maybe when we are in a really good moment in time, we are preoccupied to the point that we miss it. NEVER POSTPONE JOY! Love ya'll! Nance

Life is too short-

1) To worry about reaching perfection- house, kids, money, clothes, body, relationships, etc- just let it be and LIVE each moment

2) to be Unhappy- you can always change and get out of any rut- you just want to have the will to!!!

Oldie but goodie... Don't sweat the petty stuff, and don't pet the sweaty stuff.

...and I'm totally on board with you Jenny. Too funny! That would also have to include underwear with shot elastic.

Life is too short to not use your good china. Drag it out of the cupboard and use it every day, not just at Christmas.

Life is too short to have self pitty. Be happy with what you have and if you want something more really bad, then work for it.

Life is too short not to enjoy some of the most wonderful gifts God gives us, like our spouse and our children.

Thanks for such a great topic. If you think about it hard enough, the other "stuff" doesn't seem to matter.

I second the "Life's too short to sweat the small stuff"!

Life's too short to try to control what you really have no control over.
Life's too short to worry about what others think of you.

Life is too short to worry about every little thing.

Life is too short to use fat free anything

Life is too short to not take advantage of every single day we have--whether it's to do something big or nothing at all, whatever makes us happy.

Life's too short to pass up homemade cookies or good champagne.

Life's too short to hold onto anger...to use "fake" cream in your coffee...to not just go ahead and wear the red nail polish...to put off feeling joy because of your circumstances...

Patricia - I love reading these - thanks for starting the topic!

XOXO, Libbie
