Hello Girls,
Just wanted to ask you to keep my DH in your thoughts and prayers.
Late yesterday he was working up at our new house and he fell from a 5ft wall and hit his spine on a rock.
We spent the night in the ER. He does not have any broken bones but I want to go and have him looked at again. The ER was VERY busy last night and I don't know if the Dr.s had enough time to look over his x-rays.
Anyway, he is in a LOT of pain. I just helped him to the bathroom and he is moving very slowly and has to crawl and use his arms mostly to get back into the bed. It is a helpless sight to see such a strong man in such pain.

Thank you so much.
Lindy

Adding my prayers to the list, too. And don't rule out a visit to an osteopath, also. They can do good things without invasive or painful treatments. Nance

Please have your DH checked out again! My husband hurt himself in a fall and it took almost a year in pain before he had an MRI done and they found he had 3 cracked vertebrae in his lower back and 3 cracked vertebrae in his neck. They wanted to fuse the back and the neck but that would stop my DH from bending at the waist and the neck. He refused the surgery and has been going to a physical therapist for exercises. They help somewhat but he still has alot of pain.

I will keep you and your DH in my prayers for a speedy and full recovery!

Shari

You girls are great. Thank you so much. I printed your kind words out and showed them to him and he was speechless.

I don't think that he will be able to see the Dr. tomorrow so we are shooting for Monday. I know that he will be fine but boy- he is really hurting. He has pain meds but when he gets up to go to the bathroom you can see it in his face and how he moves so slowly and holds his body how much it hurts.

I know it is a big aggravation to him to as the footers will be poured tomorrow for the house and he is unable to go up there to supervise.

Thank you all so much.

Love,
Lindy

Lindy, I pray the Lord will show the doctors exactly what is wrong. Let us know how the next trip goes.

Oh Lindy, how terrible and scary!! Sounds like your hubby probably would of been better off breaking something, not knowing what lies ahead is stressful and more painful than anything. Sending healing prayers his way, hugs to all!

I am so sorry to hear this and will certainly pray for your husband. As someone who recently fell from a 12 ft ladder, I know these things can be painful. While I did have a broken cheekbone, the bumps and bruises were also very bad, so I know that even if he has no broken bones, the pain can still be bad. It has been a month since my fall and I still have some bruising and pain, so it is a thing of time and patience.

Prayers going up for your sweet husband.

Hugs & blessings,

Brenda

Oh Lindy, I just read this! I'm so sorry for your husband, I know he must really be suffering with his back!

Thank goodness it wasn't more serious. A ladder fall is a VERY scary thing!

Be blessed, both of you.

Thank you girls, so much.
He is still in quite a bit pf pain, especially this morning because the pain meds wore off.

He has agreed to go and see another doctor as soon as he can stand the car ride.

Your kind words mean so much.

Love to all.

Lindy - When prayers go up miracles come down! Keep him still - rest is always so important and men have a tendency to want to get up and out in a hurry and do more harm. Hugs to you.

Personally, I would take him back to the ER, by ambulance if he's more comfortable that way. The services are available, by all means use them.
Not to be an alarmist, but they told me my daughter's leg wasn't broken, too. What scrawny little 8 year old feels pain after two Tylenol 3's?? I took her back the next morning when they had worn off and she couldn't put her foot on the floor. New staff was on, and it was buckle fractured.

Keeping you both in prayer. Please make sure they are thorough. Back injuries can flare up years later if care is not taken when the injury first occurs. Speaking from experience. Consider seeing a chiropractor after the md.
