Posted - Aug 13 2007 : 9:46:20 PM Boy you ladies have been busy this past week. It will take me some time to work through all the posts and catch up.
DD and I were at our county fair from Monday until Sunday night. And what a great time we had. Well, our 4-H club always has a fun time, but this year was especially exciting. Our club is small - maybe 20-25 members, but only about 10 participate in the fair. So, for a small club we pretty much swept a good chunk of the show .
Grand Champ meat pen of rabbits, chicks and turkeys Champions and reserve champs on several breeding rabbits 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th in rabbit showmanship 1st, 3rd and 4th in poultry showmanship
Reserve Grand champ market lamb Supreme champ breeding ewe 1st in sheep showmanship (my DD had the sheep. I know - proud mama)
1st and 2nd in small educational gardens, with the 1st place entry winning a fair directors choice award.
Needless to say the kids were flying high all week. Every day got better and better.
Now that we are beginning to come back down to earth - where do we put all those rosettes?
Thanks for letting me brag. |
