Remember to look up in the sky after mid-night tonight and Sunday for the peak of the shower of stars. We live up in the woods with no lights so it usually is spectacular. Unless the trees get in the way. hehe MB

For the IL ladies, the shower can be seen tonight after 9 p.m. They said on the radio we'll be able to see it through early Monday morning. Just look in the northeast direction.

He was actually out there looking at jupiter when I went out to visit with him. He said the trees were blocking any good view of meteors so I guess he was just out there sky watching. It is his new hobby he started about 2 years ago. I'm not very interested in it but I go out there and will oooo and ahhhh over little white dots and plants to make him happy.

The showers are better seen with the naked eye than using a telescope---because of the wide range. We are over cast here but hopefully by midnight plus they will have moved away. MB

To much smoke here, 3 fires around us within 10 miles, we are fine, maybe it will be cleared up a little more by nightfall.....no worries, we are safe

My DH is outside right now with his telescopes. I'm sure he'll be out there all night.

The newspaper today said you can see "earth grazers" just after sunset. Sounds scary. No explanation about what an earth grazer is. I'm guessing a showier shooting star? We've had terrible fires today, and I'm hoping the smoke won't interfere with the star show.

Look to the east until 1 am.

We make a difference.

I think we might camp out on the kid's trampoline tonight and chatch a glimpse. I hope the city lights are far enough away so we can see well! I will just have to remember to turn off the sprinklers so we don't get a share of TWO showers!
