Hey! Thank you for the seasoned brides' advice y'all have contributed. I found the tidbits to be thoughtfu and often with a touch of humor. In this day of disposable relationships, nothing like a marriage with legs to have us all thinking like philosophers.

I've just today received the proof editing edition of my next book, Apronisms: Everyday Pocket Wisdom. It's a little book, and my first attempt at working in such a tiny format. I hadn't realized that writing something so petite was such hard work!

This writing thing is a lonely deal, for me anyway. Every day it means retiring to a place of voluntary confinement and all on your own, pulling words from your brain one by one, until the words make a sentence, the sentence a paragraph, the paragraph a page, the page a chapter. I'm new to the writing world, and despite how difficult it is to publish, I love writing something that just maybe someone else will read. And if not? Well, there's always tomorrow.

My best friend is a writer. She meets once a month with her writers group. They give each other support, ideas, and advice. Maybe a group like that can give you some tips on making the solitary writing part a bit more fun for you.

I'm going to the book store tomorrow, I'll look for your first book!

Ellyn Anne,
I had your book when it first came out and gave it to one of our girls here. Now just this minute I ordered another one, so see you can buy something new for yourself today. HA.
Best of luck on you new project, I can only guess on how hard it must be to write a book, I can hardly write a paragraph for here.

Congratulations on your continued success! Oh, I worked in Greensboro at Moses Cone Hospital for many years and my girls were both born in G'boro. Still have family in Highpoint and GSO!! When your apron exhibit is there again, I'll certainly be there with my two girls!!

For being so new on the publishing world you are certainly extremely successful!! I love your apron book and it is among my collections of apronisms!

I understand the effort it takes to write short.....very difficult. I once wrote the water cycle in 15 words...phew that was a challenge!! Looking forward to your next release!! We should have a cyber party!!!!

EllynAnne,
What a great idea, when you feel lonely, take a break and hang out for a few.
Solitary is good for writing, and I am sure a new adventure. I look forward to your new book.
I have really enjoyed some of the bits of wisdom on the other thread here. Thank you for asking and then letting us share.
Grace, musing is a good thing, and yeah for more boxes done!!
Carol Sue

Enjoying life.

Hi there EllynAnne,
Kudos to you for your "Apronisims:Everyday Pocket Wisdom". I can hardly wait to add it to my collection.
Isn't it an awesome feeling, when, with out trying you get on a roll, when writing? Sometimes my fingers can't type fast enough. I love "Musing" (sp?) kinda lets me think outside the box.
Speaking of "boxes" got a few more unpacked but still have not found those dawgone Martini glasses!!! Butttt I did find my glue gun, so not a total waste, oh and some chocolate that still looks edibale!

EllynAnne,

So did you lean towards the humor or the more serious or are you going to use a combination of the two on the apron?
