Forgot to post the picture of some very old books I got yesterday, if nothing else they look nice on the cedar chest. Also some of my plants.
Did any of you notice leaves falling yet? we have and it sure seems very early. Most are from my crab apples, but some are from my maples.

YES WE could use more rain then we have had, maybe that is it.
Yes I thought those books were a good find and I like the way they look on my table. They look nicer then new books for some reason.

Nancy Jo - about the falling leaves - have you been having drought conditions where you live? Here in KY, the dry conditions are causing 'heat stress' that makes trees lose their leaves too soon. :(

Beautiful coat, Nancy Jo. I didn't see it until today. Love the hood. It looks great on you. And what a trooper that Dave is to model it in the heat! You go Dave! ;)

My dh is an old book nut - loses his head when he sees something he wants, regardless of price.

I love old books. I've got way too many of them, but I can't resist picking them up at sales. I think I'll start culling the ones I don't want to keep and have an all-book garage sale next spring.

I did not know that, now I do. See how much a person can learn by just comming here.

Did you know that Tom Sawyer was the first novel to be typed out on a typewriter? My head is full of such trivia. MB
