Posted - Aug 05 2007 : 3:23:24 PM Forgot to post the picture of some very old books I got yesterday, if nothing else they look nice on the cedar chest. Also some of my plants. Did any of you notice leaves falling yet? we have and it sure seems very early. Most are from my crab apples, but some are from my maples. NANCY JO

Posted - Aug 07 2007 : 10:42:22 AM YES WE could use more rain then we have had, maybe that is it. Yes I thought those books were a good find and I like the way they look on my table. They look nicer then new books for some reason. NANCY JO

Posted - Aug 07 2007 : 10:14:45 AM Nancy Jo - about the falling leaves - have you been having drought conditions where you live? Here in KY, the dry conditions are causing 'heat stress' that makes trees lose their leaves too soon. :(

Posted - Aug 06 2007 : 08:05:19 AM I love old books. I've got way too many of them, but I can't resist picking them up at sales. I think I'll start culling the ones I don't want to keep and have an all-book garage sale next spring. |
