As most of you know my family has not had a pay check since around last June or July it has been to long to remember now. Any way my husband has a new job and we should start to receive paychecks again. This has been a very interesting year for us. We had made lots of financial plans before his job loss because of the job loss we learned that we had done well in our planning and probably could have gone on indefinitely with what we had done. This is not to say that a little extra money won't be nice but we now have learned it truly wasn't needed in the big scope of our life. This has been such a mind changing year for us. Life has so many avenues and prospects that I doubt my husband will be at this job long as I think his life is pulling him other ways now. He has accepted a job working with a friend of his whom he has worked with in the past and already has experience with the items they will be producing. So it is an easy fit to do and because of the things we have learned in the last few years an easy thing to leave as well. I want to thank everyone who has thought of us over the last year as lots of things happened from having life long friends die, to very sick children, to job loss. The part you all didn't see is the way we looked at our lives and saw ways of improving our lives and those around us. This house that we moved into is one of those things it gave us a better life plus it helped my sister in law as well. If it is important to do something in life it is important to try and help our loved ones around us and that has become our goal as a family. Any way this is much more long winded than I planed on I just wanted to say thanks to all who helped and thought of our family during this time.

Thank you again
Sunshine

Wow, it IS inspiring that you not only made do for a full year, but would and could do the same again. Fran is right, we'd all be better for learning how you did it!

I actually redesigned the web site but he helped a lot with the codes when it was mostly HTML but the store site he set it up but any thing that a person looking at it can see same for the blog I did. He does all the behind the scene stuff, like making sure payments on the sight get routed to the bank and things like that stuff I just don't get at all but it is needed to make a store run.

Frannie I hope all is going well for you

Alee You are a sweet spirit and I hope life brings you much happiness to you and your little one.

Sunshine-

I knew you were going through a rough year- but I had no idea that you were without a paycheck for a whole year. You and your family are wonderful and I am so glad that everything is turning around for you.

You are an insperation for us all Sunshine. I have been trying to tell my husband who slogs it out for 12 hours a day, 6 or 7 days a week, that me and the kids miss him at home and money is not that important that you miss out on your kids growing. We are waiting on a parcel of land to sell. he says when it does he is going to give up his factory job to become a full time farmboy. Can't wait!

Friends are the best collectables.

What a wonderful message! Sunshine, you give me hope. I've been working in manufacturing for almost 30 years and lately things are becoming "difficult", for a lot of reasons, including potential downsizing and all the internal tensions that brings. But I'm five years away from any kind "official" retirement. Can I hold on that long?

I know in my heart that the important things in life aren't financial, but it is very scary thinking about losing that security, and even more difficult to think about making that step on my own initiative. Hearing such a positive message from you makes me have a lot less anxiety, thanks for sharing your message.

Hey Sunshine,

It's a wonderful thing to be able to live to know how thngs use to be, how things are today and what we learn from it really gives us insight on how to live the future!

There is alot of "stuff" that becomes meaningless when we face adversities!

I'm so glad you two have come through it all OK I know that your website is a source of pleasure. I believe your husband redesigned it?? I may not be remembering correctly so forgive me

Good Fortune and Fun to both of you!!

Sunshine,
Isn't it truly about community, even if that community is your family. Relationships in the end are what counts and they can come in interesting forms. When life tosses you upside down, you tend to take a look at what is really important. Sounds like you have done that.
Happy to hear how you are doing, Carol Sue

Enjoying life.

Sunshine, isnt it strange how the things we "think" we HAVE to have, are things we dont need so bad. I am sure in the begining you thought it would be the end, but it has only made you a better/closer family. Goodluck! And Big hugs!
