Hi Miz Frannie - been eatin the stuff for years and the only thing I have to show for it is size bajillion hips!
Best go google Farnsley Moorman but it is in Valley Station, way down Dixie Highway, aka 31-w and off of the Greenbelt at Gene Snyder. It is an old homestead, of which you can take tours, lots of open space, community garden, day lilly garden and can walk right down to the river. Miss Bee Haven delivered my sweet annie plants to me today there and I am so excited to start drying them! It would be a great day trip for you and your husband. It is real close to another Louisville land mark, Mike Linnigs which has the most awesome fish and onion rings. Wouldn't it be fun to meet up with some gals and make a day of it?

hi farm girl ya-ya's .. thanks for all the sweet welcomes! been running the road giving hugs to all the local gals since being home .. also been 'creating' some fun 'kits' for two days of classes i will be teaching in september at our 'heritage skills crafts weekend in september' .. in JABEZ .. come on down!!!! i'll be teaching 'make-do's' and 'dollies' .. i will try to find some time to post some of the 'make-do's' and walk ya'll through making them .. all are quite simple (primitive) and fun! if i forget .. someone remind me!

have an august birthday coming up (LUCAS turns 6)
and two september birthdays: SOFIA turns the big ONE!!! and our great-grandson Andrew, a week later in September tuns ONE also! have grande plans for those events.

lucas wants a TRANSFORMER party .. how BOY of him! i'm going to attempt to 'make' a costume for him .. cuz' i can't find any in the stores or on-line. if anyone knows where i can BUY a really neat TRANSFORMER costume (i did google it!) pleeeeeeeeeze let me know.

am planning her first AMERICAN GIRLS TEA PARTY for miss sofia. I have about 8 of the dolls and all their furniture, clothing and accessories .. i'm going to pack them all up and set up tea parties all over their lawn .. our gift to her this year is BITTY BABY and her accessories. I know she is still young for these dolls .. but those chilluns have all their grands and great-grands living .. and the american girls are very special to ME .. soooo .. i want to claim that 'gift' to her over the next few years of her life.

i'll set up little tea tables using children's antiques dishes and antique laces and linens .. lordy! the invitees are only one and two years old! we'll take lots of pictures so they can see them someday!

little ANDREW (great-grandson) and his momma and daddy are coming to KENTUCKY to celebrate his first birthday. Their plane ticket is his 'main prize' .. but will get him something special from his 'ga' and 'ga-da' too!

been playing in the gardens and adding more perennial plants here and there. (our veggie gardens didn't survive too good while we were in ohio togehter last month! have only ONE zucchinni plant that survived and three tomato plants .. sooo .. i'll be haunting our local farmers for summer's bounty!

have been 'reviving' my antiques booths in greensburg and bardstown. reading some of the books i got while on vacation .. OH .. and visiting MaryJane's wonderful STITCHER book. MORE coming on that topic soon .. and want us all to do a special thing for MaryJane as it relates to her delightful book. BE WATCHING FOR INFO!!!!

want to do some more fun 'give-aways' to my KENTUCKY RAMBLERS (TRUE FRIENDS) list of girls .. will include my FARMGIRLS in those too. But you can see all the pictures if you e-mail me and ask to be on my list.

IT takes FOREVER to download pictures to this forum for me!

honeyhunk and i have done some 'walkin' in the woods .. and hitting a couple good movies (going to the drive-in this weekend) to see HAIRSPRAY .. and discovered a grande new local restaurant too! we have season tickets to our live theatre plays .. have two or three of those coming up before July is over!

been working on my article for the next issue of MERCANTILE GATHERINGS .. don't forget to get your subscription to that great magazine!!!

well, gosh gurlfrenz .. i have 'rambled' enuff for now .. want to head down stairs and put some vittles on the stove .. then walk among the flowers .. mayhaps take a short walk in the woods when it cools down .. and get back to making some more dollies!

life is grande! come visit me!!!! xoxo, frannie

Always good to get home, everything looks new again. Saw all the pictures, kids are growing, your daughter has a beautiful home, looks like you had a grand ole time. I know we have a lot of fun with our four little grand daughters, keeps us pretty busy. Well I don't expect you will slow down now that you are home, so lets here what you are up to.
