Posted - Jul 20 2007 : 09:03:27 AM Day before yestarday I went to a shop which sells tribal carpets from Iran and the surroundings. The carpets are made by nomad or bedouns, the women use the wool from their sheep herds and then dye the yarn with natural dyes, the men weave the carpet. the one I got is not a carpet per se, it is used to protect the camel or the horse back from the saddle. It is why one border is larger than the other one. The colors are vibrant, purple, orange and olive.
Just though you may like a little story about the desert. Corinne |
