Day before yestarday I went to a shop which sells tribal carpets from Iran and the surroundings. The carpets are made by nomad or bedouns, the women use the wool from their sheep herds and then dye the yarn with natural dyes, the men weave the carpet.
the one I got is not a carpet per se, it is used to protect the camel or the horse back from the saddle.
It is why one border is larger than the other one. The colors are vibrant, purple, orange and olive.

Just though you may like a little story about the desert.

Very pretty! I would buy one! It think it is great to support women created items from anywhere in the world! And how neat is that? Your carpet was probably made the same way those carpets have been made for hundreds of years!
