I posted a picture of some dish towels I made from some nice material I got at the thrift. I don't ever plan on buying another kitchen towel.
We are going to see my Aunt Glenda today. She is my 92 year old aunt. I made up a nice basket for her of all sorts of goodies. I feel like Red Riding Hood. It was her Birthday a few days ago, we will take her out to dinner, and do a few things around the house for her. She still drives, goes to quilting, and plays cards, and does pretty good for her age. Makes baby hats for the nursery at the local Hospital. The only thing she finally consented to was a cleaning lady to come in every two weeks. You should see all the things she makes, she should be an MJ GIRL.

Next time I go to the thrift I think I will look for some more material and make my daughters some. I don't even use my old ones now, they went to the basket for cleaning and car wash rags.I figure so far I have about 15 dish towels for four dollars, and its going to be a long time before they wear out, and no lint.

Great idea for making towels. I have curtains that I plan to make into aprons that look just like that! Maybe matching towels too. I love it!

I would love to have something your aunt made for my cabin, of course those dish towels sound lovely! You need an etsy shop! Your aunt reminds me of my grandmother whom I miss dearly.

Hi Nancy Jo--maybe your Aunt Glenda and my mother (91) should get together. They seem to do about the same things. We may go visit her today and then on Sunday my little grandson wants to have his birthday party at his Great Grandmothers house. So go and have a nice day with your aunt. MB
