Amie.. Isn't it funny that just to be rid of the inlaws we think of divorcing them too!! i STILL do this now!!! 30 years married.. & i really can't stand my inlaws.. ( yea.. yea.. i know how awful that makes me sound.. but they are pretty awful people.. & they are MY inlaws.. so I'm allowed..) But yes!! I STILL think now if i were to divorce HIM.. i could be rid of these horrible people in my life!!!
But then of course.. things die down for awhile again.. He reminds me what it is i love about him.. & we just try to keep a very good distance from them.. until of course the next time they suck us back into one of their icky situations.. but , until then.. all goes relatively well..
Great topic Debi!!
How's it going there for you today? Things die down a bit??

Too many grownups in the house is a problem, all right. I had to live with my in-laws for several months after my husband finished school (while we looked for a house). My relationship with them has never recovered. I didn't have a job or a car, and I spent too many days hiding in the basement trying not to listen to them fight upstairs. And then my husband would come home from work and they'd pick fights with him. Jeez, some days I would fantasize about divorcing him and hitchhiking out of town...I hope the clouds pass soon, Mima.

I have a deck out my bedroom door on the second floor where I escape with coffee and a book and rock myself happy. There seems to be a lot of disagreements in this life. I think our problem is that there are too many grownups in this house. I love my deck, my coffee, my books, and my rocker. Keep smilin! Susan
