I've got a blog, but don't post often. My July 1st resolution is to post once a week (we'll see how that goes!), and I did make a post today. But I need help -- how do I use color in the title? How do I link to another person's blog (for instance, I'd like to link to a recipe posted on another blog) -- and should I ask permission before linking? Help!

Katie, from your blogger dashboard, click Layout.
You are now on your template page. It should say Add and Arrange Page Elements at the top.
Click the Fonts and Colors Tab. On the left side of the page, at the top, is a box that shows colors and tells what they are for. Scroll down and find the one that says Blog Title Color.
You can also change the background color, text color, link color...have fun playing!

Are you wanting to have links to other blogs on the side of your page?
Again, from the template page (layout first, that brings you to template):
On the right side it will say Add Page Element. Click this and a new screen will pop up.
On the right side it will say Link List, and Add To Blog. Click the Add button.
You are now at Configure Link List.
Type in what kind of links you will be listing. Favorite Blogs is what a number of people will use.
Under New Sight URL you can put the web addy of the blog you want to link to.
Beneath that, put in the title of the blog.
For intance, if you were linking to MJF, you'd put http://maryjanesfarm.com/snitz in the URL space, and in the title space you'd type Farmgirl Connection, or Mary Jane's Farm.

As for needing permission; most bloggers are thrilled to find someone is linking to them, but you can always ask first if it makes you feel uncomfortable.

on blog spot the title is always the same color as all the rest of your titles to change al title so into customize and pick your colors under fonts and colros to link to another blog copy what you want to link to go to your post and high light what you want to make into a link click on the link icon looks like the inside of a tape recorder if that makes since then paste what you copied into the new box and then say ok then done with link
