Now we must remember that this is my FIRST PAIR, also not to easy to take a picture of yourself wearing them. These are tube socks and I must say feels pretty good on my little feet. I will be making more of them with better yarn and refine the pattern a bit, but as for these I think I will frame them, or hang them up at christmas.

Nancy Jo - great socks!!! What pattern did you use?

Cindy is right - they become their own little hobby in and of itself! I have an icelandic fleece to comb, spin & ply for a sweater for my daughter, but I keep getting drawn back to socks!!

You can't just knit one pair of socks you know, it becomes a "new" hobby it's self!! Cindy

Thankyou girls, I started another pair, a little different pattern, I'am pretty excited about this. Hope everyone in my family and perfect strangers like socks.

They are great, Nancy Jo. I especially like the edging - is that crocheted?
Best wishes,
Jayne

Impressive Nancy! I have always wanted to learn to knit... just to make socks! One day maybe this old dog will learn that trick. In the mean time, I will live vicariously through your feet! Mmmmmm my toes are warmer just looking at the photo!

You did a great job! I had never browsed through your blog before and really enjoyed reading your entries. Your pictures are wonderful and you have a way with words.

Framing sounds good. One Christmas when the kids were little I knitted everyone socks, mittens and watch caps and I have never knitted since. I wore the knitting needles out. So I say to you good job! Well done! MB
