This is the first time my youngest has had a room to herself and is a little scared I am trying to make it her own. She wants to have it decorated with butterflies wondering if any farm girls want to help with this. Any ideas you want to give for things I can do or little things you might want to send her that could decorate her room in a butterfly theme would be appreciated.

My oldest has fairies from a long time ago and the middle one has lady bugs. So the littlest one is feeling left out that her room has no decoration to speak of yet.

have a lovely day and may God bless you and keep you safe

Sunshine-

My Dollar store was out of the wall stickers! I will keep an eye out for them. BUT they did have a butterfly wall hanging that was made of various colors of felts. I thought it was cute- but knew you could do a much better job that a dollar store felt wallhanging so I didn't buy it. There was nothing wrong with it though- so if you want it, I will go get it for you!

Also, I use it for Nora's Diapers, but Wal-Mart has some really cute butterfly flannel that would make awesome curtains. If you don't have a fabric store near you that has this flannel and want me to, I can go get some for you- Just tell me how many yards you would need. They have a pink toned butterfly flannel and a blue toned butterfly flannel.

I also think a butterfly pillow (out of said flannel would be really cute. I might sew her a pillow case out of some of the extra flannel that I have. We'll see how much time I have.

Hi Sunshine.. here is a site that has some butterly products on it. Some you may be able to do yourself with your crafty abilities.

http://www.alibaba.com/showroom/Butterfly_Craft.html

Also Oriental trading sells nlyon butterflies. You could hang them from her ceiling, from ribbon on her curtain rod, or hot glue them to the wall.

Hey sunshine! Glad everybody is settling right in! Another idea you could easily do, since you have a laminating machine, is have your little girl draw some butterflies, or print some neat ones off the computer, laminate them, tie them to strings or fishing line, and make a cool mobile with some wooden dowels, or neat branches from a backyard tree. Post a picture of the finished butterfly bedroom! Nance

she is 5 and doesn't really have ideas just wants lots of butterflies every where trying to figure out what to do still. I like the quilt idea and the butterflies on the curtain. I am thinking of trying to make a braided rug in the shape of a butterfly might be a little hard may just make a braided rug as her sisters each have one in their rooms. She feels left out on that now that she has her own room. Thinking of embroidering some pillows with butterflies if any one has cute patterns for that please pass them a long to me the link that is so I can use them.

tina can you post a photo so I can see what you are talking about

My Aunt sent me a card with a 3-D butterfly on it. She made it from a picture of a butterfly printed on card stock, colored it in with pens and then cut it out. Then she folded the wings back so it looked like it was flying and attached it to the card. You might be able to make some inexpensive butterfly decorations this way.. It's really pretty and looks real.

When I did my daughter’s room in a garden theme I got some shear pirscillas. Them I went to Michael’s and got butterflies from the floral dept with the wires on them and scattered them all over the curtains. It looked like they landed there. They were old curtains but they really didn’t make holes anyway.

You could buy stenciles and stencile them on the wall.
You can go to the craft stores and fabric stores they have butterflie fabric.
You can make pillows and quilts
I am making an applique butterflie quilt. These are fun
I am doing button hole hand stitch all around the butterflie in black.
This makes the butterflies pop
You can also buy some rug kits that have butterlies and flowers in them.
I don't know how old she is ; she might enjoy rug hooking if she is old enough
You can make pillows and pillow cases to match.
Good luck and have fun decorating. Pinkroses

ooo! our dollar store has some really cute butterfly stuff! I will send a package!

You can also buy some really cool butterflies in the trim section of your local wal-mart. We bought some to sew to Nora's curtains and Wal-Mart also has a butterfly curtain rod too.
