Ocean 13 and 'nuther movie .. can't remember the name.

sunday .. i'll spend a good part of the day .. packing for our trip to OHIO on tuesday .. will celebrate july 4th (which is our WEDDING ANNIVERSARY) with our chilluns. Posted - Jul 02 2007 : 08:19:42 AM Sounds like everyone was busy!!!
On Saturday, I rose early, went to the farmers market and returned home, and then cleaned all darn day. Did about a gazillion loads of laundry, and all the cleaning that I've put off for a while. Clean house, clean mind. Went to dinner at the School House Restaurant in Camp Dennison, Ohio. It's really in an old schoolhouse from 1861, and they right the menu on the blackboard. Home cooking, family style meals with all the "yums" on a lazy susan. Such a pretty drive, such a good (and filling meal).
Sunday, made an apple pie, made carnitas (chile style) in the crockpot for dinner with friends. Good company, good dinner and good weather!!! In bed by 11:00.
Good weekend!

Posted - Jul 02 2007 : 08:10:32 AM Saturday I went shopping at a really great outlet mall with my DD and DIL - it was a nice day, but I was beat at the end of the day. Yesterday we went to a Mariner's game and we swept the Toronto Blue Jays! My younger daughter's best friend is married to the first baseman for the Blue Jays so we always try to make a game when they're in town. He didn't play yesterday - he was hit by a pitch and broke his hand (in a previous game). Tough break. My husband was his first coach in little leage and started him at first base when he was 6 years old, so we always take credit for his success! LOL |

Posted - Jul 02 2007 : 04:39:27 AM We spent all day driving back home after spending a glorious week at the beach in southern FLA
Traffic was pretty subdued, although I believe this week coming up will be a bad one for travel.
Cops were everywhere and one truck in front of us provided brief entertainment when it got pulled RIGHT in front of us! OOPS!
Back to the 'ole grind tomorrow, as today is reserved for laundry and springing the dog from being boarded.
Happy July 4 everyone! |

Posted - Jul 01 2007 : 12:21:07 PM Yesterday I spent some time out in my gardens, dead-heading and weeding (though with the lack of rain there wasn't much to weed!) and watering. Today I'm watching the Concert for Diana while my husband does the final bit of work on our new bathroom (moving the clawfoot tub from the old bath to the new and hooking up the plumbing). I'm sticking around for moral support and to help him when he needs it, but as he's just encountered some leaking, I'm staying out of the way! ;-) The concert has been lots of fun to watch thought! :-) |

Posted - Jul 01 2007 : 07:20:06 AM Yesterday, weeded and took kids to the park to ride their bikes, for the first time. They had a ball. This mornng I had to switch spots with my DH. He swathed from 11:00pm until 6:30 this morning. Now I'm contemplating whether or not I want to brave going to church at the park. It's part of our towns 4th of July celebration. I'm still a little nervous about terror attacks. Specially with the stuff happening in London. Can you imagine if they did something on the 4th with all the crowds at fire works displays. Anyways, Good Morning, girls.

Posted - Jun 30 2007 : 9:52:49 PM Well lets see, I talked with you ladies, was able to salvage some fencing from a neighbor for my peas to climb, weeded my garden, chatted with neighbors, went grocery shopping, and baby gift shopping. So altogether, my Saturday went really well. I want to try and go to Church tomorrow and hopefully can get a few projects finished up and maybe try a few new projects :)

Posted - Jun 30 2007 : 8:14:17 PM I lounged in bed surfing the internet until 10 (!!!) then got on the train (I read some of Devil in the White City while commuting) to go into the office for a few hours (yuck, but had to be done). Then I grabbed a coffee on my way home and did some more reading on the bus home. Husband and went out and picked up a few groceries, then he made me roasted chicken for dinner. :-) Just relaxed the rest of the time; a little reading, a little internet. Tomorrow is a baking and crafting day, and we might go out and see Ratatouille. It looks really good!

Posted - Jun 30 2007 : 5:22:02 PM I only have one Saturday off each month, and this wasn't it. I worked this morning, went for a long walk & looked at yard sales (didn't see any "must haves" though) and then spent a couple hours chatting with Mom over coffee. Still gotta figure out dinner tonight!
I'm hoping to get DH to help me build a chicken coop tomorrow. No big plans, but we're going to celebrate the 4th on Tuesday at Mom's, with steaks and grilled potatoes. Then DH & I will walk up to park and watch fireworks. He works Wednesday, and our Parks & Rec department holds our neighborhood fireworks display on the 3rd so it doesn't interfere with the big city hoopla downtown on the 4th.
