I'm pregnant! Wahoo! Estimated due date: February 22, 2008. Jackson will be just one month past two years old then and has no idea that his world is about to be turned upside down. I can't believe that my little baby is going to be a big brother!

Please send good vibes that we can get through the first trimester safely and then on to a healthy baby for '08!

Thank you all so much for your kind words and support. We are moving through the grieving process for this baby and feeling better each day. I know we'll never forget, but it's getting a bit easier as my body goes back to normal and our lives do the same. I so appreciate all of your sweet comments. Thank you!!

Catherine

p.s. Jayne, I left a comment over on your post, I'm so, so sorry to hear about your loss too. Still thinking about you and hoping you're well.

Catherine,
I am so sorry about the miscarriage - I sure know how you feel at the moment (I just posted the same topic myself; looks like they happened on pretty much the same day). You seem very together over it - I sure admire your strength, girl.
All the best wishes and I will be thinking of you,
Jayne

Catherine, just saw this post; I am so very sorry for your loss, and you are right to have a positive attitude. The necessary tears will dry, and meanwhile you have your two wonderful men to focus on. Wishing you and your husband peace, strength and hope. Nance

Catherine, I am sorry for your loss. Take it easy and rest...it's very hard, but keep up the good attitude. You know you always have a lot of ears on this forum, if you need to talk.

Hi Catherine-

I am so glad you passed the tissue. I hope you won't have to do a D&C?

Just got back from the midwife and the ultrasound confirmed the miscarriage. No baby in sight (I definitely passed it and the early placenta tissue at home last night). Totally weird. Ah well, I'm still feeling relieved today. At least it happened quickly in my case...I'm not so sure I'd feel the same if this was dragging on for weeks. Thanks for all of your good wishes and prayers. You're all so sweet!

Catherine, wishing you to take good care of yourself and also have time to heal if it is a miscarriage. We sometimes forget to grieve and cry and just feel sorry for what happened and all this is a natural process for a healthy recovery, it just helps to move on with your life.

Catherine...has the miscarriage been confirmed? I bled with clots and cramps at one point early on in my pregnancy with my youngest daughter, went on bed rest for a few days and then was fine. I forgot the exact name for the condition, but it was a small separation of the implanting placenta. Have your beta HCG levels checked before making any decisions, on consecutive days. If the values are dropping, then yes you are miscarrying, if not, then there is still a possibility that it is a minor tear. Just a thought.....Lots of warm, healing hugs and energy coming your way.

Hi Catherine-

I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I understand how it sometimes can not be the right time to have a baby. I have had two miscarriages and I think I had a pretty good outlook on it. One of my sisters was pregnant at the exact same time and I can't even imagine having a baby the age of her girl! I think it is great that you are taking some time for some "just you" time and someday I am sure, when the time is right you will have another wonderful healthy pregnancy and baby. You will be in my thoughts! *hugs!*
