Posted - Jun 15 2007 : 6:42:36 PM They brought out a loaner round baler, and we were all set to bale. But we found out our pto was weak on the tractor, and would not run the baler. So they send out a loaner tractor so we could get our hay baled up. They send out a LOVELY J.D. tractor, with a cab, air conditioning, all the bells and whistles!!! Oh that was not fair. I think our Case, is a 1965, and this J.D. is a 2001. Learning to run a new tractor, and a new baler was so easy, and yes I smiled the whole time I baled. Guess what I want!~!!!! I think we get to keep this tractor till ours is fixed, or traded in! I have maybe 15 acres of hay to cut yet, and can't wait. But what to do next-keep the tractor that is paid for, or trade up for one that will be more useful, easier, and just plan nice. My husband likes the John Deere. Michele |

Posted - Jun 17 2007 : 10:24:21 AM Wow! That sounds like a really nice tractor! You're right! It's not fair to tease you with a cadillac of a tractor like that! LOL is this a new sales technique?

Posted - Jun 16 2007 : 2:56:27 PM Our farm just sold an older tractor. Guess how much some people bought it for? $40,000! Think what you could do with that kind of money! MMmm.. how many horses could I buy, with that? Too bad our little family won't be seeing any of that extra moola:( I guess you should look at it by how much you are going to actually use the tractor.

Posted - Jun 16 2007 : 05:09:55 AM My dh wants to talk to the salesman, just to see what kind of a deal they are willing to do. Sure it would be the last tractor we would ever need. We would get the front end loader on it-we could really use that with the round bales now. But it is just a lot of money. Julie, it is nice to see you think like I do---not fair!!! Dh stopped last night to drop off a part he had gotten for the case and had not put on. He told the guys in the shop that that was a dirty trick to send out that tractor, and they all were laughing! We will see what happens. Michele |

Posted - Jun 15 2007 : 6:59:08 PM Oh man! That is NOT fair! We bought a new tractor last year. We looked at the JD's and they are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO expensive! It would take us 500 years to pay off that bank loan. We got a Massey Fergeson instead. It has a cover but it isn't enclosed and no AC.
