Everyone has a "uniform" they feel comfortable in, whether they work out of the home, or in and around their place. Is it jeans and tee, skirt and tee, jumper, etc. What's your style?

At work I wear mainly "relaxed professional," (i.e. not suits, but usually skirts, dresses, or slacks), but once the schoolyear ends and it's summer (5 more days and counting!), I'm pretty much living in shorts, t-shirts, and flip-flops :-) (Of course, if I'm heading out to actually "do" something, then I get dressed up a *bit* more.)

At home its my comfiest pair of ripped shorts (for gardening) and a tank top or shirt w/ no sleeves

at work it's shorts or jeans and denim short sleeved shirts

I wear either shorts or skirts with comfy tops and my Birkenstocks. I have to be comfy because of the pain of RA and FM so therefore I'm not the hippest chick on the street. Tina Michelle has to have her scent on just like I have to have a little blush and lipgloss. She's right. Just a little bit of my warpaint makes me feel more special. Susan

Winter at home: Jeans or sweats, turtleneck, heavy sweater or fleece, ball cap, heavy socks and boots.

Winter at work: long skirt or dress, long johns, turtleneck, heavy sweater, heavy socks, change boots into fleece-lined shoes after I get there.

Summer at home: Jeans or long skirt, long sleeve cotton shirt, light cotton socks, comfy shoes, ball cap on cloudy days and straw hat or prairie bonnet on sunny days.

Summer at work: long skirt or dress, blouse, light cotton socks, comfy shoes.

My name for my favorite things to wear is " my soft clothes". When I am finished for the day I change into my " soft clothes". I think my mother in law came up with that phrase. My favorite thing to wear around the house is a pair of khaki capri's that have elastic in the waist with a tee shirt, socks, no shoes. If I have to go anywhere I try to look presentable. Nice capris, sandals, cute top. Shorts are out for the first time this year. At age 52 my legs have so many veins that they look like a street map. If capris go out of fashion I will continue to wear them anyway. They are wonderful! Long live the capri!

Depends on where I'm headed...
For field work, nothing beats my overalls, floppy sun hat, and either a t-shirt or a flannel. By far the most comfortable for me. But off the farm/away from doing "dirty" work, it feels like a costume... does this mean I'm a secret farmgirl?
For "public viewing" I guess I'd blend in anywhere else...mommy style
For special evenings out, I love dresses.

We make a difference.

It's blue jeans and a t shirt here. I didn't own a pair of jeans until I went to college a lot of years ago and have worn nothing else since then. And tennis shoes, I love tennis shoes.

I wear either jeans with a tee or short sleeve button front shirt (my favorite one is red and white gingham) with an apron, or overalls with tee shirt. I wear skirts (denim or cotton simple long ones) with a solid color tee if it is too hot for jeans. I NEVER wear shorts. Ever.
For shoes I wear either birks or crocs...with and without socks. In winter I am more likely to wear UGGS or sneakers sometimes..but pretty much the same clothes. I wear my hair (which is really long) with small silver barrettes on each side or braided or in a pony tail. I love denim jumpers but don't have one that I like right now..need to find or make one.

I am always in jeans and either a tee shirt or dress top, depending on where I need to go. I only wear shoes when I have to, I have a pair of gardening clogs that I love and my flip flops if I am leaving the house!
mainemama Posted - Jun 13 2007 : 7:14:38 PM
I almost wear jeans in the winter... I NEVER EVER EVER EVER where shorts, I just don't need my thighs defined at this point in my life.
I do wear skirts that hit below the knee. I wear them with casual tight t-shirts or pretty tank tops.

For work ..we have just recently( over the last few years..)aquired a bit of a more relaxed dress code.. with still a few rules..
But normally I wear either jeans, slacks or a longer skirt.. with either a blouse, a shirt or a tank top..& always with a sweater..(yes,i know, I'm in florida.. but I'm always cold.. so i need something on my arms!) & for shoes.. ALWAYS something i can slip on.. RARELY SOCKS! As I want as little on my feet as possible.. beacsue once i make it to my desk.. what ever IS on my feet.. is coming off!
For home.. Flannel!!
I have more pairs of Flannel PJ bottoms then anyone i know! This has to be the best fabric ever created! I LOVE THIS STUFF..& for a top.. any T shirt is fine.. if i get cold.. i'll find a sweater..& flip flops.. this is my outside atire too of course unless i'm actually leaving the house.. then i'll change to a pair of capris usualy..
YES .. I know.. Just SO LOVELY .. !
No WONDER I have been married for 30 years now !!!
The man can't keep his hands off the flannel!

I love gaucho pants. I wear a tank with them. When it's cool I wear my jean jacket.
I also wear denim capris with layered t-shirts.
And my third in the line-up is a pair of denim shorts and once again, I layer the t-shirts.
My shoes are either sandals, flip-flops or tennis shoes.
I am pretty lazy about my make-up, but ideally I wear some. I usally wear earrings or a necklace.
My hair is a bob-cut, so either down or pony-tail.
I've been low-maintenance since having my 4th child.

denim cargo pocket skirt with pockets and drawstring elastic band and depending on where I'm going or what I'm doing the top varies from a dressy to casual...amd around the house I'll wear sandals mostly. If going somewhere out and I need dressy... I'll wear a closed toe flat shoe or a pump.I'll dress up my blouses with nice brooches and I usually wear either a necklace or bracelet/sometimes both..and no matter if I'm at home or out...no matter if I don't go anywhere at all..I must always every day wear a scent, be it a scented lotion or perfume. No matter how I feel... Perfume of some kind must be worn.It gives me just that feeling of "I'm special" no matter what day it is, or if I feel under the weather, or whatever. Smelling feminine and special is a must to my "costume"/daily routine.

Summer is jeans and a polo and Ariats or breeches and a polo and Ariats.

Winter is jeans and turtleneck plus sweatshirt and Ariats, or polarfleece breeches and turtleneck plus sweatshirt or sweater and Ariats.

Last time I wore a skirt the dog barked.

I wear either jeans or black pants. I love tee shirts and tank tops, but if I am wearing a tank top I have to have another shirt over it as well. I don't like the way my arms and waist look so I cover them up. I love nice thick cushy socks- even in the summer and I usually have my black shoes on as well. Sometimes I get lazy and I wear my stretchy yoga pants or sweatpants all day, but I am trying not to do that very often.

They're uniforms, all right! My style is so non-changing that people try to buy me different clothes at Christmas and I end up returning them - they just aren't *comfy*!

My "winter uniform" is jeans, big baggy sweater or sweatshirt, and a pair of closed-back Danskos...usually the oiled brown.

My "summer uniform" is cotton shorts (*must* have pockets!) with a cotton T of some sort, white ankle socks, and my white closed-back Danskos.

Autumn/Winter: jeans, sweaters, fuzzy socks, clogs
Spring/Summer: denim skirts, cotton skirts, sandals (both high heeled and not), t's, dresses.
When I get home from work, though, I usually throw on a pair of button fly summer weight army pants that I've hemmed, and a t with sandals.
