Posted - Jun 04 2007 : 08:51:08 AM I have a nice collection of vintage aprons from my grandma. I wonder if you girls know a neat way to display them in my home. I don't want to cut them up for curtains and such. Any thoughts?

Posted - Jun 06 2007 : 10:04:09 PM These are great ideas - I am going to have to get my aprons out, give 'em a good ironing and put them on display!!! I wear one almost everyday, but I have some darling ones that just don't get seen as often as they should.

Posted - Jun 06 2007 : 8:20:22 PM you don't have to cut them up to make curtains out of them .. simply string them across the top of your window.

Posted - Jun 05 2007 : 3:25:30 PM Ive seen them also tied as "skirts" around barstools in a kitchen. I used some of mine as curtains, but didnt cut them up. Just tied them right to the curtain rod and loved how it looked.

Posted - Jun 04 2007 : 11:16:51 PM Sherone, I bought 3 of those unfinished wood plaques that are about 6" wide($1.00 from local craft store). I painted them & then I decoupaged the front with victorian tea cups & lace (formaly Hallmark giftwrap). Then I put 2 hooks in each plaque, I loosely knot the ties of my aprons & hang from the hooks. I can display 6 aprons(2 pr plaque). The rest of my aprons are stored in hat type boxes that I bought @ the local craft store. I include 1-2 hankies filled w/lavender & tied w/ribbon to keep moths out. Now the fun part, when the mood strikes I just switch aprons from the hat box to display.

Posted - Jun 04 2007 : 10:24:17 AM Wasn't there a picture in MJ's book of a vintage apron tied to the lid of an old enameled pot and displayed(I think on a plate rack - the book is at home and I'm at work) on the wall?
