Wow some of you girls are really busy!

5:30 Wake up drink coffee and spend time with DH. Tip toe around so we don't wake up kids
6:00 Make breakfast together, talk about day, I feed cats and dogs
6:30-7:30 kids start waking up
7:00 Dh waters lambs, feeds turkeys and rabbits while I feed lambs, horses, cows, llamas and chickens, and collect eggs then we water rabbits as a team. We look at garden together and water some things with rabbit poop tea.
7:45 I kiss him goodbye then start setting up hoses to water flowers and lawn. After that's going, I feed kids, and love on them
8:30 Start yard work, whatever is pressing
11:00 Come inside do some cleaning
11:45 Make lunch
12:00 DH comes home for lunch
1:00 DH leaves I Work on any number of projects
4:30 Do some more cleaning
5:00 Start dinner
5:30-7:00 eat dinner when DH gets done in the fields
Relax, bathe kids
Kids in bed at 8:00 and we read and relax and go to bed by 9:30
The kids and I work together all day long and I try to instill good things in them through out the day.

Blueroses--you teach spinning? I'm actually afraid of you....many times I've "thought" of taking that class

6:45, wake up before the alarm (Drat!)
shuffle into bathroom, take shower, put on makeup, brush teeth while watching morning local news.
7:15, feed the cats, take Daisy Bad Seed outside to "doot"
7:30, eat a little breakfast, kick back on the couch with dh
8:00 leave for morning commute...
8:30-12:30 answer ridiculous questions about "legal" matters, listen to other peoples problems with their soon to be EX spouses, post on Mary Jane's Farmgirl network, plan dinner, general work in a law office.
12:35, AT THE GYM or at lunch with friend, or running to feed store to get dog/cat food-varies most days
1:30, back at work (see above)
5:00, out the door, run to the market to get things for said dinner planned while at work, then to pick up dh downtown Cincy at 5:30.
6:00-10:30 or so, home sweet home, do what we want when we want to....dogs get fed at 6:30 sharp though, no exceptions, or we'll hear about it!
Pretty standard weekdays for us...it's Friday through Sunday that are anything BUT standard.

My weekends are for me, my dh, family & friends and I have no set schedule cuz my weekdays are so full:

4:45 I drag myself out of bed and go to the gym. Luckily it's only about a 1/2 mile. On Tues & Thurs, I teach a spinning class and the other days I meet up with my friends to do our weights and some cardio.
6:15 Back home to make dh & myself breakfast and a healthy lunch (or else he'll go to the store and buy candy!) DH off to work about 7:00- 7:10 am & I get in the shower.
8:00-Have to be in the office and work, work, work.
12:00-Lunchtime - go to gym again (you would think I'd be in really good shape, but nope - that's why I go to the gym so much!! Trying to get back in shape)
1:00-Back to office and eat at my desk.
4:45-Leave and go to Post Office and Bank and then back home.
5:15-Start cooking dinner, water plants & lawn. Feed animals & kiss dh.
6:00-Eat dinner and then clean up with dh.
Relax and sew, knit, craft - watch a little tv until:
9:00pm-Go to bed and read for awhile.
Phewwww!

My typical weekday looks like this:

6:15 Alarm goes off. I actually get out of bed, walk across the room to hit snooze, then get back into bed.

6:25 Alarm goes off and I get up. Throw on a robe and do the tour of the plants- watering, deadheading, taking a moment to enjoy touching a green thing and smelling their good plant smell. I listen to the weather report on tv while I do this (though I'm trying to wean myself off of having the tv in the morning).

6:30-7:10 Shower, get dressed, apply makeup, fix hair.

7:10-7:20 Put together my breakfast (which I'll eat at work) and my lunch (I usually throw together leftovers from the night before).

7:20 Walk around the corner and hop on the red line train. I usually have a book or magazine to read on the train, and this train usually isn't crowded, so I always get to sit down.

7:35-7:40 Transfer to the brown line train (hopefully it's time, because I'm in trouble if it's not- I refuse to add any time to my commute, so I cut it close). This train is usually packed, so I only get a seat about half the time. If I get a seat, I'll continue reading, but if I have to stand I hold on for dear life, try not to get annoyed at the next person's bag whacking me in the back, or the screaming kids, or the person stepping on my feet... and stare out the window hoping we do not get delayed waiting for the bridge over the Chicago river, because my train sanity is just about gone...

8:00-8:15 Get off the train (hopefully more toward 8:00, but I'm often running up the block because the brown is usually delayed) and walk two blocks to my office building.

8:15-4:45 At work. The only constant parts of my day at breaks at 10:15-10:30 and 3:00-3:15, then lunch from 12:30-1:00. At least twice I week I take my breaks and lunch late because things get hectic. I won't go into the gory details, because I just don't want to relive it. :-) I'm stuck in a windowless cubicle all day.

4:45-5:00 Walk 10 blocks to Michigan Ave. to get the 147 express bus. I could take the purple, brown or red line trains, which are closer, but if I arrive at the bus right at 5:00 it's just starting the route so I can get the seat of my choice. I also like the bus because it drives up Lake Shore Drive and I can see the lake on the way home, which really helps me relax. The 15 minute brisk walk over to Michigan is also my excersize for the day. Sometimes I read, but sometimes I stare out the window at the scenery.

5:45-6:00 I walk the two blocks from the bus stop. It's usually more toward 6:00 since LSD turns into a parking lot real quick at rush hour.

6:00-6:15 Greet the husband, sort the mail, check email and forums.

6:15-7:00 Make and eat dinner. I usually cook (most of the time husband and I cook together) 4 out of 5 nights a week, ordering out maybe once a week.

7:00-10:00 Whatever I feel like-- sometimes catching a television show (although I'm trying to cut way down), reading, having a bubble bath, baking, doing a craft project, chatting online or blogging.

10:00 Sometimes I stay up until 11:00-11:30, but I really aim for 10:00. I get ready for bed and sometimes read a little and then it's off to sleep.

As some of you know by now, we live in Kuwait. We wake up by 5.30 am every weekday, since my husband has to be at work before 7 am. I feed the cats and then fix breakfast while he showers and we eat together. When he leaves I shower, put make up on and get ready. It is the time I usually check my emails, look up feedsacks on Ebay, and read all the new posting from MJF.
Then, time to hit the sewing room untill around 9.00. Either I have to go grocery shopping and go early as possible since it is sooo hot most of the year, or I go to the Pilates class I attend 2 times a week. Usually the rest of the day will see me planning another quilt, sewing or piecing. It is quite and cosy at home so I can really enjoy my time, with some classical music, lots of green tea and the cats sleeping in their baskets besides me. On sunday I join a quilting group, and we spend the day all together, one of us brings in lunch and we chat and help on any project in need and sometimes just visit together without having much work done. Our week-end days are thrusday and friday, going to change to friday and saturday in september. Then around 4.30 pm, I go home, feed the cat and fix dinner. Raymond is back around 6 pm, we have dinner then we will go in our little office/tvroom/quilting room, we chat and check emails, he plays his video game and around 8 or 8.30, I usually fall asleep on my work. the cats are alreaddy on the bed, sleeping. Time to go to bed then...

Well this is my usual daily schedule:
5:00am get up make DH lunch, lay in bed after he leaves til 6:30ish, get the kids up around 6:45am make breakfast for them, then while they eat I make their lunches and get dressed, out the door by 7:40. Come home feed the dogs, cats and water my wildflower patch, and my veggies, come in, do dishes from the morning, sometimes from the night before. Vacuum and clean the rest of the house, laundry if there is any. ( I try to save all my laundry for 1 or 2 days). Pick up my DD at 11:20 bring her home , and have me and her time til its time to get DS@ 2:00pm, get him and bring them home, make a snack help with homework, DH usually gets home around 3pm, make hima snack, start dinner, while he lets the dogs out to run.Around 5pm, eat, play outside and water plants again. Kids in bed by 8pm,I usually do embroidery (working on redwork SunBonnetSue right noW)while DH watches TV. Try to be in bed by 10:30. And then start all over again the next day. Of course there are the occasional days when I go get my dad and go out to breakfast instead of chores, but thats usually only 1time a week .

I have several variations in my dyas, but the basic schedule is down to 2 scenarios.
First I guess I should say that I'm a nurse so I have days off during the week since I work every other weekend. Weekend days off are great as I get to be with my Sweetie. We only get 4 days off a month together.
On a weekday off I enjoy sleeping in until about 730 or 800 AM. I make coffee and lounge while I try to wake up.( I've never been a morning person) DH usually gets up showers and leaves for work by 930. Days off are laundry and clean up days. Also they are clean the litter day for our 2 kitties Polly and Seabiscuit.
I also run errands if needed. In the afternoon I try to save time for whatever the current project in the sewing room. Lately I've been doing a bit of gardening too. Supper is around 700PM when DH comes home. Then we lounge on the couch while he watches TV. I either have embroidery or a book as I am not a big TV fan. Except for NCIS on Tues. If TV gets real boring I come up to the sewing room and get online to talk to the farmgirls. At 1000PM It is time to put the cats to bed. Seabiscuit goes downstairs to eat and sleep and then Polly knows it's time for her to get her special food. I'm usually in bed by 1030.
If it's a workday it starts @ 0530( yuk). After hitting the doze a few times I get up and ready for work. I clock in by 0645 and start my day as a psychiatric nurse. At 300PM I get to leave.(yeah) Then I run any needed errands and go home to start supper. On Tues and Thurs I go to Yoga class @ 530 pm-630. Home by suppertime.
It sounds kinda boring when I write it down, but there is plenty of variation in there. Especially on off weekdays. I like to do breakfast or lunch with a friend or shopping. there is never an end to my many projects too.

Tomorrow is day off. I might just stay in the sewing room all day :)

Too blessed to be stressed!

I am with you Frannie...my days all differ greatly.

The one thing that is done almost everyday is that I make myself a sandwich for lunch that I call "My Specialty." It is made using flax bread. I put mayo on the bread slices, then mustard on one side with the mayo. I slice cheddar cheese and layer it on with sliced onion (red if I have it), and tomato slices are added. I put the sandwich together and spray on butter and grill it up. I have to eat potato chips with it. I did try for a few months so not eat potato chips because they are not healthy, but found that I was trying to substitute others things that ended up being worse for me. So I am back at eating them again. Just trying to limit myself on how many.

Sheryl-lyn-

Thanks so much for sharing your day with us! It sounds like you are a very very busy lady!

I wake up between 4am and 8am, depending on when Nora finally wets her diaper. We feed and then change her diaper. I usually try to grab something quick to eat like a bowl of cereal or a instant breakfast shake. Then Nora lays on the floor while I take my bath. After I am all done getting clean- it's her turn. I usually try to let her have a good long bath because she really likes to kick and move around in the water so it is good exercise. Then there is usually a bit of crying when we dry off and get dressed. She doesn't like getting out of the bath. Usually she nurses again after she is all dressed and then she falls asleep.

As soon as Nora is asleep again, I usually log on here and catch up with ya'll. After a while I do some chores around the house. Somewhere in all this, Sky usually wants to go outside a few times and I try to eat a little more. I also start planning the evening meal so I can pull meat out of the freezer.

Nora wakes up and we do the whole feeding and diapering. She usually likes to play on the floor. If the afternoon is nice we might go out to water the garden. Or we will log on and chat some more :)

In the evening, sometimes her dad likes to watch her so I can go out and weed the garden or mow the lawn. Nora usually falls asleep for the whole evening around 8:30 and 9:30 and I follow anywhere between 11 and 1am.

Some days we go for walks or visit people and run errands. Time just flies by when I am playing with Nora!

I roll out of bed around 6:45 am, get chased downstairs by my three dogs who are starving!! :) I feed them, make my tea, and then it's out to the chicken coop to feed the big chickens and tend to the babies (I have 16 this year!). I go back inside to drink my tea, then head off to the school where I teach English. I start the day with my inclusion class and the other teacher I share that class with, then have two more 8th grade classes. My next two classes are really good too. Third period can be tough, but mostly they are good. Fourth period is LUNCHTIME and I sit outside with my friends and eat. I make lunch sometimes for them when I have time. They all like my egg salad on homemade bread. We discuss the virtues of drinking alcohol during lunch and how that would make rowdy classes just seem like good times and fun instead of feeling like we are playing football during those classes. Our afternoon classes can be very naughty and not exactly hard workers! But, since none of us drink, we have to decide that we will just band together and stay tough. We all love teaching, but this year!!! Whew!! It's almost over and we can hope for a better year next year. To be honest, our leadership is probably the problem, but we cannot address that honestly with them, so we all just do our best to make it a good place. For example...our principal encourages the kids to call him a nickname, not his proper name. The principal will do cartwheels and other "cute" things while the kids are tossing sandwiches and salad into the air during lunch. Got it? Yeah, I am sure you are getting this dilemma! LOL

At 3:30ish, I head to Curves to work out. Then I rush home to bring the dogs out to the river for a swim. They swim around while I read or grade papers or work on a tea towel. Dinner is usually in the oven before I head over to the river. I make a full meal every night now that I am not running kids all over to sports, etc. They are both grown up and have their own cars, but they still live here while they go to college and the police academy.

Evening comes and we sit out on the front porch after dinner. We eat a little later now that the warm weather is here and my dh is back to work landscaping. It could be as late as 8:30 p.m. Then we watch baseball (Mets!!) or right now hockey for the Stanley cup. Actually, my dh endures my love of baseball because he only likes to watch hockey. At night, while we watch tv, I sew. Maybe a quilt, or an apron or curtains, but every night I devote a little time to working on some of my MANY projects!

Every night, I take a hot bath and read for about 30 minutes. It really relaxes me and helps me wind down from the day. I drink Red Tea around 11 p.m. so I can sleep without restless legs. Can you believe that it really works? WOW!! I head up to bed then and watch The O'Reilly Factor or the quilting show on Create TV. Both of them make me go to sleep. How odd that combo is, I realize that now! My dh walks the dogs and then heads up to bed too. We are usually asleep by 11:30 or midnight. Sweet dreams!
