Posted - Jun 01 2007 : 11:14:17 AM Remember back when I asked about cutting my rose bush back? And you gals told me it wasn't too late and it wouldn't hurt, go ahead and cut it back you said. Look what you caused!

Posted - Jun 01 2007 : 10:40:31 PM I'll pass on my "secret" to plants that thrive, indoors or out. Called Superthrive, I've used it for over 30 years. Walmart carries it-if yours doesn't, it's in their system and they can "be traited", meaning they can order it. Brown glass bottle, think it's 4 oz, for about $8. At one drop to a gallon of water (though I measure heavy, like with vanilla), it's very cheap and the bottle will last a long time. There's a cardboard with all sorts of hokey stuff attached and you'll think this is some junky stuff that won't work, but it really does. Doesn't take the place of Miracle Gro or whatever fertilizer you might use, but can be used in conjunction. It is (and smells like) vitamins for your plants. I've told so many people locally, it flies off the shelves. Home Depot used to carry it, probably still do and maybe Lowes, not sure. Try it, you'll like it...and tell me if you do. Ronna |

Posted - Jun 01 2007 : 2:36:07 PM I don't know Mikki, it seems to love you without food and with the extreme "hair cut" and all! I would say keep doing what you're doing! But then again, don't listen to me! I have never been able to keep a rose bush alive! Of all the plants that I have and can grow- roses don't like me.

Posted - Jun 01 2007 : 2:29:19 PM Thanks so much everyone! I love them. It's always been pretty full but not as much as now. I whacked it back pretty darn far too, I mean like I said back then I was like Edward Scissorhands on the poor thing. I'm ashamed to say I don't feed it anything. I guess I should.

They are awesome.. I get a few really pretty flowers on each bush.. but not THAT many.. & they never seem to want to give me much greenery either.. May have someting to do with this humidity here.. Roses Just LOVE to whine about the heat you know.. Yours are Just Beautiful!
