Posted - May 31 2007 : 04:14:38 AM It's 5:15am in Utah and the birds are going CRAZY outside. I love it - they are so loud - robins, mostly, I think - and our rooster. That darn rooster is crowing at the SETTING MOON. The sun's not even up yet. But the birds are wonderful.
Good morning, y'all!!!
XOXO, Libbie

Posted - May 31 2007 : 1:07:52 PM How could anyone NOT like the birdsongs at first light? It alone is worth getting up early for. I love it so much, that I am currently working on building a medicinal herb garden with a sitting area that I have access to from my bedroom. All just so I can take my tea outside in my jammies and listen to those wonderful songs.

Posted - May 31 2007 : 09:53:50 AM I woke up at 4:30 this morning. Nora was still sleeping so I had to get up and use my breast pump for a few minutes so I could go back to sleep. Right now it is almost 10am and she has yet to wake up and the birds are singing beautifully outside my window. I love birdsong. It always is in my mental sound backdrop of summer memories!

Posted - May 31 2007 : 06:57:28 AM Oh me too! I love to go outside in the early morning and listen to the birds, and the rooster next door challenging the others down the street, lol ! One of my long-time childhood friends can't understand why the sound of a rooster crowing anytime day or night doesn't bother me, but I remind her that considering where I used to live, I would much rather hear the sounds of birds and roosters, rather than neighbors fighting and carrying on 24/7, haha!
Hugs.. Jeannie

Posted - May 31 2007 : 04:56:59 AM That phrase "up with the chickens" reminds me of my grandma. She liked to sleep in, and when I would stay overnight with g'ma & g'pa she'd always accuse me of being "up with the chickens"!
