And what are you doing?
Its warm here today, but boy is it WINDY!.I took some of my new hanging plants in the garage so they wouldn't be afraid.
I made a loaf of Banana nut bread, from the Paula dean cookbook. I also made a small potato salad. Plus all that reg. work that is always there. Like I have always said, when I go to bed at night the house is all in order, so I never can figure out what happens during the night.
Kids have a soccer game tonight, but they might have to cancel, I can't think the ball will stay on the field with this wind, kids either.
Got a couple of loads of laundry to fold, then maybe a little needle work or reading. The curtains are blowing straight out so going outside to do anything doesn't look to good. But on the good side, the air smells real good.

A trip to the orthodontist this morning-the braces come off in less than 2 months, a HUGE deal for my son!
Thrifting-but very little luck there.
Came home to crazy weather & had a tornado whiz through WAY too close for comfort. Lost some siding off the house, but otherwise everything is OK.
Right now I'm "doing laundry" and chatting with all of you.
Later tonight I will catch up on some sewing.
Are we ALL dieting except Nancy? LOL

I just got back from a trip to the organic market to pick up groceries. Had to walk home in the rain because it started up while I was shopping, but I didn't mind to much since it's been so hot. I've got to do the dishes and start dinner soon-- Norwegian meatballs with blue mashed potatoes. Then I'm doing to do some baking-- probably a crumb coffee cake and applesauce spice muffins for breakfasts.

On Tuesdays my son goes to a school that requires a parent to be there all day (it's "school" for homeschoolers) so that's where I am... sitting in a big room called appropriately the "Zoo Room". This is the nicest day out this year and the forecast isn't looking good so I'm itching to be at home. It's been beautiful the last few days and I've finally been able to hang clothes on the clothesline and I've been using the chainsaw and cutting up the trees that fell all over the place this past winter in the windstorms. I'm so hungry and hearing you all talk about food is making it worse. I always seem to forget to bring myself a lunch but my son has a cooking class as his first class of the day so by lunch I'm asking him what he made and can I have some. Today he said it was "some kind of pie". I can't tell by looking at it what it is but it tastes sweet so I'm going to locate a fork or spoon, may have to look under the seats of my car... that's how hungry I am! After school gets out at 3ish I think we're going to stop by my dad's house. He made me a new chicken house and was going to paint it this past weekend so I'll haul it home. Can't wait to see what the Silkies think of their new house.

As of late, it is more like what am I not doing. I am trying to plan our move to Texas, which involves finding a place to live, switching docs, dentists, daycare, vet and a hosts of other things. Finishing up one college and starting another, packing and trying to de-clutter as I go. Still trying to do something craft each day for just the fun of it and as a stress reliever. Weather has been warm enough to sit outside and soak up a few rays. Then the usual chores of washing clothes, changing diapers, washing the dog and oh yea,,,I am trying to come up with simple recipes that use up all of my food in the pantry before we move. But....It's better than being....well you know....

Cheers,
Heather

Well Nancy Jo my friend, I just got home from some antique stores. I was just looking around and shopping a bit for Marybeth as she is the winner this month on my blog. And I had to stop by post office to mail some items out. It's a bit hot out today, but nice. We had some wind here yesterday Nancy, but it wasn't too bad. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!!

I'm just working. And there wasn't an opportunity to get out for lunch because we had an "office meeting" where we just sit around and talk about whatever anyone wants to talk about...usually, with 2 male partners,2 male associates, and 2 male law clerks, it turns to sports. So, for an hour, on the prettiest day we've had so far, I'm stuck inside, eating the same pizza they order every meeting, listening to men talk about sports.

I'd rather be:
~eating Nancy's banana bread
~flying to Vegas with Mima, or anywhere else
~working in my yard
~taking Kathie and Blueroses to lunch so they wouldn't eat KFC squeezie margarine , but boy howdy do I love Laughing Cow cheese!

I'm at work thankful we were able to get the hay baled and in the barn last night. We cut it (with the draft horses) Thursday with a long range forecast of sun until Tuesday. Raked the hay Saturday and baled a couple bales to test the baler and check the weight. Figured Sunday after church would be better. Let it dry just a tad more.

Woke up Sunday to a hard rain in the morning. grrrr First cutting is mostly grass and little alfalfa so it was dry (and a bit sun burnt) last night.
