I'm marking this on my calendar!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,--
One is nearer God's heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth.
Sounds like a great deal of fun.
I'm book-marking your website to continue to read up on your farm, your family, your life, and your activities. I haven't been down to your neck of the woods for a few years. I grew up in Rockford and took IL 2 south through Sterling/Rockfalls area to Dixon many times.
We have folks coming from as far away as TX & TN!
Saturday night is always fun. Homemade ice cream using fresh cream & eggs, campfire, music, board games.
Thanks Tina. It has been fun in years past.
For our first weekend, we had Carla Emery come and speak. What an woman!! After she spoke at our place, she went farther south to an annual homesteading weekend a few hours from us. I went to that event also.
One of the things that Carla emphasized was that folks like us needed to stay connected and network. When she died a few months later, I was devastated. A few months after that, the lady that hosted the annual homesteading weekend also died unexpectantly. No more Spoon River Homesteading weekends.
Paul and I decided to pick up the ball and run with it.
Folks get a chance to learn new things and to contribute their own knowlege to others. It's real informal and a whole lot of fun!
