Long story short for those who don't "know" me -- lost my job a year ago and have been eking by on part-time University teaching position. Each semester I've gotten just enough hours to teach that we were able to squeak by. I was assigned a summer school class and that would have really helped this summer, but yesterday I found out the class didn't "make". I'll get a small paycheck at the end of May and then nothing at all until the last day of September.

I am not upset, and I am confident that God is in control, that He is with me through all this, and everything will work out for the best. BUT I also know that doesn't mean everything is going to work out the way I want!

At this point, we have to get the house finished and I have to find a job or in some way make up for my lost income from my full-time job. As much as I love coming here, reading your posts, getting to know so many wonderful ladies, I've got to be responsible with my use of time.

For those of you who pray, please remember me in your prayers. I don't want to send of a laundry list of "wants" to God, but I also believe that He wants us to come to him with our needs, and goodness knows I really, really need to get the bills paid so we don't lose everything.

Thank you all for your warmth and kindness. I still need to find my buttons to send out for a swap, which I haven't forgotten. And I'm planning to still do the RAOK. I've got my list of names and have some things already in the plans. It's amazing what things you find in your stash of goodies that you've been hanging on to use "some day"!

Anyway, sorry to make this so long, but it's really hard to say good-bye. God bless each of you! (please remember me in your prayers)

Patti

Patti, I'm praying for you, both for continuing peace and for your work/income needs. As Karin said, we'll see you in a while.

Good-bye seems so final. Just make it a "See you in a while." You're in my prayers with the hope that things will go smoothly for you very soon.
Take care, Patti. :)

Patti,
Good luck on the job hunt and I am so sorry things are going the hard way for you. Come back when you can. I took six months off to work full-time and then came back to MJ's and the farmgirls were right here for me every step of the way. So you are in my prayers and pop in when you can.

Patti, I'll be thinking of you and you'll definitely be in my prayers. I know what you mean about the time, a LOT of time is spent online by many people. There needs to be a balance for sure. Take care of yourself. Blessings and hugs to you girlfriend.
~~Blessings, Mikki Jo
