Posted - May 02 2007 : 9:47:55 PM Frannie here .. Cabin Creek Farm .. Green County, Kentucky .. smack dab in the middle of the state!
60 miles south of Louisville .. ten miles from Hodgenville .. where Abraham Lincoln was born!
who else is from Kentucky? t'would be fun to gather this summer!
NOW .. how about you gurlz from other states ... do a heading in Across the Fence .. with your STATE in the subject line.
let's see if this helps us perhaps gather with other 'somewhat' local farmgirls! xo, frannie

Posted - May 03 2007 : 4:41:23 PM hey jonni .. we do indeed need to have a 'gathering' .. i did one last year and it was marvelous .. tried to do another one .. but my dad was very ill. we're travelling a bit during may, june and july .. also having all the grandkids here for a week in july ... but after all the gurlfrenz holler at us .. and OH YESSSSS .. that includes you miz mikki and anyone else who might live within rambling distance to 'central kentucky' .. well .. we do need to plan a fun 'gathering' ... these olde cabins only have three guest beds all snuggled in one tiny room .. and i think it best when more than three friends come .. to stay at the log cabins in town. let me get through our mississippi river boat trip this month and 'art in the alley' festival in early june .. and i'll try and plan a little sumpthin'!!
xoxo

Posted - May 03 2007 : 05:55:01 AM Hey Frannie... I'm from Kentucky, Elsmere, to be exact. It's in between Florence and Erlanger, 15 minutes south of Cincinnati, Ohio. We are about an hour and a half from Lexington and Louisville, and spend a great deal of time in both places. Actually, spending a weekend in Louisville July 27-29 for the "Forecastle Festival", an arts, environmental and media festival on the riverfront.
We've been to Bardstown many times and love it. Such a cutie little place!
We KY farmgirls should get together--I know Janice is from Louisville metro, too. There are some other Kentucky girls on here....speak up!!!
