Oh Girl friend.. i think we are Destined..!
i remember when I was younger listening to my mom & her 3 sisters complaining about their Mother.. ( my Grandmother) & their Aunts..
Grandma's 5 Siters & how Stubborn they all were.. & how they ALLLLL had to do the same things together all the time.. & how one wouldn't be out done of course.. & complaining about what hateful old gossips they'd all become.. & how did they all get to be that way?
Well.. now my mother & her sisters have turned into what they used to talk about of course!! & i think they resent each other for it ..

i know this because my Sister & cousins & i all discuss this when we meet for lunch together ..

I have to say men have always done my hair the best! I travel two hours one way to get mine done. I hated the person who filled in right before I had my baby she butchered my hair! UHG! Once I find a good one, I'm loyal through and through. So I can so relate. So sorry! I hope your search for a new person is painless. If you know the guys name, maybe you could hunt him down personally and he could keep your hair up! :)

Oh, that is bad news. I mean...both losing him and the reason he's been lost! Good hair dressers are hard to find.

I can sympathize with your dilemma about finding a good hairdresser. I've been going to the same one for 30 years. At first, the salon was 20 minutes away from my home. Then I moved, and it was 45 minutes away. I moved again, and now it is at least a good hour to go to him one way. The best way to get there is a major highway that always has a lot of traffic. I've tried to find someone local, but wasn't happy. To me, it's worth the travel to have someone I'm satisified with.

Oh you didn't sound flip! And you are right! I don't really know the details,so it just sounded kinda funny! I just need someone to cover up my 48 year old gray hairs!( Probably brought about by having 4 kids!!!! LOL!

Ooooops...let me rephrase my above remark re:zero-tolerance policy:

In this age of employers backing up their employees when even the *worst* of service (including foul language directed toward paying customers, physical and sexual abuse from clergy directed toward congregationalists/parishioners, the male Chicago police officer who beat up a petite female bartender, etc.), it is refreshing to see an employer who protected his/her business interests without waiting for the outcome of some "...board of inquiry..."

That said, I really am sorry that you lost your hairdresser. And I am sorry that whatever happened, someone may have lost their livelihood. As I was sitting here, I got to thinking that my remark sounded "flip." It wasn't meant to. ~ K

Oh, no! Of course, these days with lawsuits, "assault" could mean anything...even giving someone a *genuinely playful* tap on the arm can get someone in trouble if it happens to be witnessed by someone who isn't so amused. Or the parent of a child... Or a spouse... Gotta give the salon some snaps for having a zero-tolerance policy, though!

PART 2! I just was whining to my daughter who produces the news here at our local cbs station and she said he'd been arrested for assalting one of his customers! Guess they didn't like the color or something! Sad but too funny!

Oh no! I'm so sorry. I was traveling 40 miles one way for awhile. Then I found another one here at home. I hope you find someone!

Mima-

It's always disappointing when a good hairdresser stops working or moves. I have had that problem several times around here! Good luck on the search!
