Posted - Apr 28 2007 : 09:17:38 AM I've been catching on my favorite Farmgirl blogs over the past couple of days. Noticed that some of you have pictures in the header of your blogs. Especially love Beemoosie's with the blue quilt! Could anyone share how they did this?? I was up until midnight last night trying to figure it out.

Posted - May 02 2007 : 06:34:53 AM Oh, if I can do it, you ladies can do it! And if you get stuck, just email me the pic and what you want. I love doing this (instead of cleaning toilets, vacuuming, dishes...)

Posted - May 02 2007 : 04:42:26 AM Thanks Kay for starting this thread and thanks to Tracey for easy directions, I'm gonna try it too since I've been wracking my brain on how to make a personal banner for sometime now. Hope it goes as easy as it sounds? Lol

Posted - Apr 29 2007 : 12:01:19 AM Tracey -- thanks so much for the info. I've been seeing things about Flickr on other people's blogs but had not idea what it was. I just went there and signed up. It is really cool! I'm working on a new blog at Typepad but won't have it ready for a while so will be at Blogger until I do.

Posted - Apr 28 2007 : 6:57:46 PM Hi Kay,
Rachelle had to share with me how it's done! Have you got a Flickr account? If not, sign up for one. The upload the photo you'd like to use.
Once it's uploaded, hit save, then double click your image (it will appear on a new page.)
To the right, near the bottom, under "Additional Information" will be a line saying 'see different sizes.' Click this.
Another page will come up; across the top itwill say Available Sizes. Typically, medium works for me, but sometimes I use large. Click the one who's higher number is closest to 600.
Yet another page will appear. This one has code on it that you can cut and past onto your blog or website. Since each blog/website is different, I can't tell you exactly where you'll need to place this code. It's typically listed as 'header'.
Here's the code that Flickr gave me for a header:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/86967870@N00/476201865/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/174/476201865_8dbb582c69_o.jpg" width="550" height="366" alt="get a little wild black copy" /></a>
Hope this helps!
