Here's something that just worked for me - the wood stove door was stuck shut and the little handle just would NOT turn, so I grabbed onto it for about the millionth time with my gloved hand, gave that beastly thing a piece of my mind, and - what do you know! - it opened right up! I guess I just had to let it know how I REALLY felt!!!
