Posted - Jan 12 2009 : 2:30:45 PM Am sure most know this, but I remember when my Mom reminded me to always turn dark items inside out when line drying in the sun, because this prevents fading.

Posted - May 21 2010 : 08:32:15 AM I dry my light clothes outside in the sun and my darks under my porch on a retractable clothes line. I LOVE my retractable clothes line and you can find them on-line really cheap. |

Posted - Jun 10 2009 : 3:26:35 PM Yes the sun totally removes stains from whites! A little lemon juice hastens the process.

Posted - Mar 09 2009 : 7:25:47 PM On the other side of the coin, the sun does a great job of bleaching whites. I have had some T shirts with tomato stains(canning I am sure) that I have left out a day (or longer if I am busy) & they come out SO BRIGHT! |

Posted - Jan 13 2009 : 06:19:02 AM Beth, I used to live the South and always dried darks inside out, the UV rays will bleach those darks quicker than you think.
