Posted - Nov 01 2024 : 03:19:50 AM Been cutting wood here lately and finally got the winter supply done and stacked. My hint for cutting wood is, use a measure stick. It is so nice having all the wood cut the same length. It stacks well that way. For the ends, split round pieces in half. They stack up perfectly, and the ends stay strong all winter. Two on the bottom, then switch and put two the opposite way and so on. This is what works for me anyways and hope it works for you as well.

Posted - Nov 02 2024 : 10:31:33 AM I was amazed when you told me yesterday that you had snow Thursday! Enjoy staying warm and snug in your farmhouse when you aren't working in the woods, fields or barn.

Posted - Nov 02 2024 : 03:42:27 AM It does feel good to be almost ready for winter. Got two things left to do, so hoping they get done next week. Been enjoying the wood fire too. Weather has been cold.

Posted - Nov 01 2024 : 05:42:17 AM Your method for cutting and stacking wood sounds great Michele. I hope it all dries nicely for you and that you will have more than you need to get through your long north woods winter!
