Well,I thought I'd better update. The caboose is on hold as it is up for sale.Hoping that we can hang onto it. It's a great place to vacation and of course I'm not done fixing up the place yet. It does have a new foundation, new porches, parcial roof repairAlso,Danny (6) loves his rope swing. He now points out places and mentions they would be a good fixer-upper! I am now onto the new project! It is a big one as the first thing to do was get all the junk out of the house and to the dump.Plus 11 mattresses and old carpet.I did become clever though,as one carpet was to big to move after rolling it up so I sawzalled it into sections! Yep,that worked better than cutting with a knife! Now I have to gut the kitchen right down to the floor joists as the flooring and ceiling are REALLY bad. All the old plaster and lathe board has to come off the walls.I am going to open up one room into another (not a bearing wall),and also expose the chimney brick. Most of the floors are fir,two are covered with linoleum, not sure whats under.I will take pics. I did get a camera for X-mas!

Gotta see the pics. You have a massive undertaking. Do you have any help besides a 6 yr. old? MB
