Posted - Nov 13 2017 : 5:07:54 PM Hello, all!
I have been a butcher, a baker, and now I want to be a candlestick maker (minus the stick). So I need your advice. Where do you get your candlemaking supplies? I love beeswax candles, though I have read they are trickier to make, and soy candles are okay, too. I would like to make them as natural as possible, if that makes sense? I am pretty sensitive to fragrances, but essential oils are usually okay.
I got a giant box of beeswax tapers at an estate sale and they're already about half gone. I'd hate to be completely out!
Any advice for me? TIA!

Yes I remember reading that a while back. Seems like wick choice is extremely important, otherwise you may get a candle that soots like crazy or fizzles out.

Posted - Nov 13 2017 : 7:35:14 PM Hi Amanda I made candles back when I was going through my hippie faze. That was eons ago.
I don't have any advice as it has been a long time ago but I remember enjoying it a lot,
Think I will have to add this to my list of things to do in retirement.
