Posted - Sep 17 2014 : 5:19:05 PM Back in the day (60's, '70's) we made aprons with plastic rings at the waist. You took them on and off like a giant plastic bracelet. I'm looking for the rings but can't find them anywhere. They used to be standard issue at all craft and sewing stores. Already tried Hobby Lobby with no luck. Any ideas?

Posted - Sep 27 2014 : 8:44:41 PM Melina, I recall (a year or 3 ago) seeing them in either Herrshners or was it Mary Maxin's (?) needlework catalogs.. I too remember these plastic rings, we used them in Home EC. class in High School, a gazillion years ago!

Posted - Sep 18 2014 : 3:52:08 PM I remember those aprons! Wow, a flood of memories of my Moma and Nanny. I'll keep my eyes out while I surf the net.

Posted - Sep 18 2014 : 05:37:27 AM My Mom had an apron like that! I haven't thought about aprons like that in decades. Not sure where you can find the giant plastic bracelet either but if you find them let us know. They would make such an easy pattern for a quick apron.
