Posted - Apr 20 2012 : 09:17:17 AM I am looking for a tried and true linen spray that I can make using my lavender essential oil. I found this one (http://archive.blisstree.com/live/homemade-linen-spray-669/) but they do not give an exact size of bottle to use.
Do you have any to share? Or was there one from MJF that I missed?
Thanks.

Posted - Jun 05 2012 : 09:54:10 AM I have been making my own room/linen spray for a few years. I found some little(probably 3-4 ounce size) glass spray bottles...I fill them with water and then add 3-4 drops of lavendar oil! Voila! It's smells nice and is calming!

Posted - Apr 25 2012 : 7:16:17 PM This is such a great thread, I would love to try this. We just made Olive Oil candles and are trying to think of ways to add the scent. Just to experiment, we bought a candle scent from the hobby store, but I would love to try to infuse the oil with herbs...not sure how long it would keep tho as I am thinking adding Vodka would be a bad idea ;)

Posted - Apr 25 2012 : 5:51:14 PM I too use the same recipe as Grace and I love it. Use it in the dryer too when I want to freshen up a blouse or something. I also spray it on our pillows at night so we fall asleep with the lavender scent, nothing else compares to it I do not think. Hugs, Debbie

Posted - Apr 21 2012 : 06:19:26 AM Thank you! I have been reading so many recipes, but none of them mentioned how long it would last, or how to store it. I did make a lemongrass room spray with vodka and water too. :)

Posted - Apr 20 2012 : 4:06:51 PM oh and it will be a tad yellow/greenish in color... not like the "fake purple" stuff you can buy in the store.
I do use EO for a room spray... I use 8oz of distilled water and about 15drops of Lavender EO. Shake rally good and store in the fridge. I have not used this for ironing tho' Certainly couldn't hurt to try it on an old scrap piece of cloth to make sure the EO doesn not stain.
Have fun.

Posted - Apr 20 2012 : 4:03:39 PM hey Kristina, I make my own useing dried lavender. I steep 2 tsp of dried lavender in 2 cups of (botteled-distilled) water (like as if making tea, steep for 7-9min.) then I strain the lavender water through a coffee filter (to catch the buds & seeds)into a large measureing cup(to make it easy for pouring) I toss the lavender out and then I add about 1 TBLSP of clear Vodka.... pour it into a spray bottle and shake it good... I store it in the refridge when not using. (you can do this w/o Vodka,,,but keep it only for 7 days in the fridge. toss & make fresh) It works great as a room re-fresher as well... & I have even used it as a 'cool down' spritz on my face. (when I was going through menopause). Gotta love Lavender.
