I found some one-gallon size plastic baskets at PamIda this summer for $1.50 each. Made in China

OK, I haven't learned to get a photo posted here yet but it is near the bottom of my blog page...

I have been using them for so much!

Picking berries, plums, cherry tomatoes. Carrying in enough pears to do one batch. Rinsing off elderberries.

I can use them instead of a colander to rinse and drain things right in the same basket I used for picking!

Those DO sound like the perfect size - not too heavy to carry around when they're full! I'll have to keep my eyes open around here for something like that.
