I had this old broken chair that I would use in my garden. So yesterday I started to paint it and this is how it turned out.

You all are so nice- I am glad you like it. What a great way to spend the day. I had my 2 youngest painting alongside me with their own projects. i have discovered that i love to paint- not that I have great talent, but I do so enjoy it. I am looking into doing painted floor cloths. I did these 20 years ago and thought they were such fun. Though I am not a traditionalist when it come to artwork so they will be more whimsical and farmy. Does anyone else do these?

Hey sweet Ellen- wasn't hiding the blog from ya- thought you knew I had it. I have a painting idea for you already- will try and get to work on it this week. And yes I do have lots of paint at my house. My daughter is an artist.

Anyone know what style the chair is painted in? I have seen similar items in the past which is where I got the idea from. But I can't figure out what they call it.

That is adorable -- you're very talented! Now I know who to invite for a visit when the house is finished so we can have a painting party.
