we have a good bit of land unused so will mow it, let it dry, then use a lawn sweep to pick it up and dump it in to piles. then we drive around and load up the truck, then push it all in to one of our many empty hog dens. not sure how much we will do this year with the price of gas, but if our baler doesn't stay working, that is our only option ! it really surprises you how quick it stacks up ... we had over 20 goats and used our 'grass hay' for over half the winter ....
