I saw this post recently on a blog that showcased a gorgeous paper wysteria tree at an Anthropologie store. http://www.oncewed.com/8708/wedding-blog/paper-wysteria/

I wanted one for our bedroom, but I doubt I could afford to fly her to Kenosha and pay her to make one for me. lol She states on her own blog that she can't tell you how to make anything that she does for Anthro so I had to figure it out myself. I examined the photos pretty closely and figured out her method of construction. I wanted to post a tutorial for it on MY blog because I couldn't find a tut online for anything similar but I did find a lot of brides and new moms wanting to make one for their weddings/nurseries but unable to afford to have it made by the original creator. I didn't want to copy her method, so I developed a tutorial for something very similar that provides the same feel as her's but isn't an exact copy.

I thought someone here might be interested. I've only made a few so far, but I intend to cover a couple branches eventually to hang over the bed. I used white because the purple won't match the bedroom. I would like to try a lavender one someday too if we ever have a little girl!

I used leftover beads, yarn salvaged from an old sweater and tissue that was give to me and cost the original owner a couple cents for hundreds of pieces at a floral shop auction. LOL So each "flower" ended up costing me maybe a penny!

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
