So to follow up on the recipe link I posted a couple days ago for hand salve, I've now added step by step instructions with photos for a lip balm recipe I found on Mountain Rose Herbs to make their Peppermint Cocoa Lip Balm. Seriously yummy stuff, gals, and all organic!

Link to the picture tutorial on my blog here: http://wayfaringartist.com/2011/02/22/easy-lip-balm/

And link to Mountain Rose Herbs site here: http://mountainroseherbs.com

If you make it, let me know what you think, and if you've made another recipe, post a link!

Thanks Erica! yeah, I actually lived in CS for a few years as a teenager and remember how drying the climate is on skin... beautiful, but dry. Scroll down on my blog and there's a recipe for hand salve that i've been using for about a week now and my hands are in awesome shape, and the few patches of eczema seem to be clearing up, tho not totally gone, so we'll see if it's enough to get rid of those for good!

What's your blog? you don't have a link anywhere that I see...

Anna, that looks awesome!!! I should have added that to my list of goals for this year ... a post I did today about "refreshing my life". I want to learn how to make my own lotions, chapsticks, and candles. The recipe on your blog looks so easy.....I am going to try it too. Because of the dry conditions here, I go through chapstick like crazy ....this would be perfect for us. Thanks for sharing and awesome job on the tutorial and outcome. Look forward to adding your blog to my reading list of blogs. Hugs, Erica
