I'm making a sugar scrub for my friend. She her favorite scent is vanilla lavender. I can't easily get vanilla oil to mix with my other ingredients. Would it be a bad idea to use my homemade vanilla sugar so she gets some vanilla scent along with the lavender EO?

When you say vanilla oil are you referring to a vanilla essential oil? vanilla infused oil?

What about taking vanilla beans, scraping the insides, and adding that to the scrub? Or possibly making a vanilla extract using vanilla beans in vodka (or other alcohol) and letting them sit for a while and then using the extract to scent the scrub? Another thought would be to make the scrub and put a vanilla bean/s in it and let it sit so the scrub absorbs the scent that way. You could always remove the vanilla bean before you give it to her.
