Posted - Aug 05 2010 : 08:41:56 AM Our little brown office out here has a bathroom without a toilet paper holder. I'm not going to make a trip to Wal-Mart to buy a cheap plastic one that cost ten cents to make and they're charging us five bucks. But, I can't stand the toilet paper roll just being tossed on the back of the commode, what if it falls in when one of the farm-boys leave the toilet seat up (as they so often do).
Anyway, I've once seen a bit and bridle used to hold toilet paper at a cabin in Texas. I was wondering if any of y'all have any more cute toilet paper holding ideas.
Thanks! --Brandy |

Posted - Sep 06 2010 : 3:20:00 PM How about taking a piece of scrap wood for the bottom, and screwing 2 "Y"-shaped sticks the same length to it. (about 3 feet long sticks) Drop another stick over the 2 "forks" you've made to hold the paper roll. The scrap wood bottom would sit on the floor, and the roll would be super easy to change! Rustic, too!

Posted - Aug 20 2010 : 8:26:25 PM In the barn outhouse they have a coat hook with a small chain going through the roll and hanging from the hook. In the outhouse at the horse hotel where we went on our last trail ride they had a tin box and the toilet paper was kept in the box so the little wee beasties couldn't get at it. Both my vet's offices have the bit and headstall toilet paper holders.

Posted - Aug 06 2010 : 04:03:18 AM Mine is similar to Dutchy - I have a really sweet key rack - cost the equivelent of about $1 from a sale - and just hung string between the two outer pegs and my toilet paper hangs on this.
