Ugh!
I have to move again [There's more work in Loveland than there is here in Grand Junction].
Any tips and ideas to make this easier?
I'll be on my way the 31st of this month [fortunately I have a house lined up over there already].

You can also get boxes from the bookstores. I used Borders and that way all your boxes are one size. As a book collector this saved me getting boxes too heavy. Labeling is key to unpacking from a fellow compulsive mover.

By the way, this is the best time of all to purge yourself of all unused or unneeded items. You have to touch everything anyhow, decide how badly it's needed in your life. I got rid of over half our closet stuff as it was unused things I had been storing for who knows how long!

I made lists on notebook paper of each item placed in each box, not just the usual kitchen or bedroom. It made it so much easier to locate what we had to have the first few days at our new place. You just tape it to the box. My dad put them in the boxes on top of everything and we taped them on as soon as we got to our new place. Actually the kids did it while we went for pizza. They can get torn off during the move on the outside. It also made it easier to unpack and put away the stuff.

Checked your blogspot out, love old pictures and history. My dad past away the beginning of the year, found a large box of old pictures of him and is siblings. I blew them up and put them in old frames and mounted them on the wall. He was in the navy and found a picture of him in his uniform and flight helmet in sepia. They mean a lot to me, my daughter also made copies of them for her wall.

when we moved we used the large plastic containers you can see thru . The good thing about them is you can use them over and over and also store the things that you do not have a place for at that moment.
