I made some lye soap using a recipe from here and it is hard like it should be but there seems to be some oil that is weeping out on the top. Is this normal? Do I just wipe it off? ???

Thanks

Sarah

Robin or Cyndi would know too. I'm sure some of our experienced soapmakers will answer today. Inquiring minds want to know!

I don't have any answers for you, but I had to respond because the post was just so darn sweet.. weepy soap..Love it! I recall that happening to me and yes, I just wiped it off..I wonder if its part of the curing process. The Soapmaven ought to know...good luck to you! cheers, Julia Hayes
