I made these Sugar eggs back in 1979 at a friends home....and have since lost the recipe...by chance does anyone have it?

Hey MB & Annika,
thanx for the sites...
I am heading into town on Friday & will check out both Michaels & Joanns to see if they carry the egg molds,,,and also to find little "mini" bunnies, chicks & hens to tuck inside.
I remember using food color paste not the liquid food color so hopefully I can find that too...I will check some of the local Bakries to see if they carry & will sell some.
Wahooo, another mischief...I mean project to get into.

Easy-Peasy recipe! I'm going to go to hunt up that mold at the craft store before they all sell out. I completely forgot about these eggs and how fun they are!

My mom made some of those probably about the time you were making yours. You need an egg mold and I think Wilton sells them along with instructions. I am planning on doing some for Spring/Easter!

The one I used when I made mine years ago was from Wilton.

1 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons of water
