Posted - Dec 06 2009 : 07:48:25 AM Here is a pic of a bench made out of a dead pinetree. I cannot hold a chainsaw due to the vibrations that bothers me.I have a hired hand here who does all the chainsawing for me and this is what he did as per say to what I tell him to do. I have 15 acres of wooded land and Hurricane Ike messed up some trees for me. So I thought what can I make out of them. I asked my hired hand-Dean to cut the logs the way I wanted them and this is a bench I came up with as a model. I will select me a live tree to make few more and put outdoor varish on them to protect them in the long run.

Posted - Dec 06 2009 : 08:26:15 AM Very cute and rustic! My dad made pine benches for his old cabin in northwestern WI by notching the bench & lower logs, it always reminded me or the Flintstones.
