Posted - Jun 10 2009 : 9:07:07 PM I wonder has anyone used straight cows cream instead of the milk? I was thinking it would be good for you skin but I don't know if It'll work because I've never made soaps before. |

Posted - Jul 12 2009 : 8:41:49 PM It could get expensive if I didn't own a cow ;) I haven't tried it yet. I have just started making soaps and I started with goats milk first. I have a bunch of milk goats and extra milk so I figured, why not? Thank you for all your answers :) |

Posted - Jun 16 2009 : 08:32:57 AM I wouldn't use straight cream instead of milk at the stage where you add the lye.... Too risky, I would think.
I agree with Jenny... You might try adding some at the end, like you would add a little cocoa or shea butter!

Posted - Jun 13 2009 : 08:13:41 AM Would you be using any water at all or just cream? I would think that if you had to buy it from the store it might get a bit expensive?

Posted - Jun 13 2009 : 04:04:18 AM I have made soap with cream. I used my goats milk soap recipe. It seemed to work out just fine. No problems with the soap anyways. I figured it could not hurt to try.

Posted - Jun 10 2009 : 11:52:34 PM It may superfat the soap..may be something you have to add at the end. I am sure someone else can answer better than me. I have used whole milk (full cream still included) to make soap in the past..but not JUST the cream. It might just work though.
