Posted - Nov 20 2008 : 9:10:24 PM Julie, I always forgot every year too so last year I finally got smart and took a sharpie pen and wrote a "w" on the upper position and a "s" on the lower position on all my fans. I was facing the usual dilema this summer and then saw my marks and HALLELUJAH! No more confusion!

Posted - Nov 20 2008 : 05:45:22 AM We put ours on counter clock-wise in winter, clockwise in summer. I would think all fans should be standard that way but just in case here's how you check: while your fan is running, stand directly under it. If you feel the breeze, it's on the summer direction. In the winter direction, you'll feel the breeze while standing near your walls.
